    Tips for 51 Scholar.

As the title says. I have played scholar and I love it to death. As a job it keeps involved the most and to be honest extremely satisfied. I personally feel like my healing could be much better. I played astrologian to 52 and grew bored of it. Im looking for any tips that will help me manage my pets best, as well as to see if there are any endgame tips for alexander etc.

Also to note: I dps alot as scholar to make sure im taking advantage of every free second i get off healing

You may find yourself DPSing less as you progress through HW dungeons if your tanks and/or DPS aren't geared with 2.0 endgame gear (augmented Ironworks and dreadwyrm). That being said, leveling SCH after 50 is still pretty much the same, you will find the new abilities rather situational. Indomitablilty is the best new skill for aoe healing but requires more aetherflow stack management. Don't overuse emergency tactics + succor.

Only 1 or 2 of the new skills are situational, the rest are fantastic. (Broil is bordering on OP, lol.) Emergency tactics is a great skill that adds extra functionality to 2 of our main heals and Indom is a very powerful aoe heal on a short CD. Dissipation is very situational, and Deployment tactics is excellent for spreading buffs at the start of a pull, or to prepare for an incoming aoe.

If you have knowledge on pet management before this, its largely unchanged at level 50+. You could assign pet's action and commands such as Heel/Place/etc to hotbars so you can easily position them near tank or especially after a knockback. If you have read up on the subsequent new skills for Scholar and how they work, I'm sure you can find out when is the best time to apply them.

Start with always keeping your fairy on Obey. I've made macros that summons a fairy, swaps the three fairy skills to the ones that are relevant for the fairy I summoned, and then puts the fairy on Obey:

    /micon "Summon"
    /ac Summon
/crosshotbar pet "Whispering Dawn" 1 LDL
/crosshotbar pet "Fey Covenant" 1 LDU
/crosshotbar pet "Fey Illumination" 1 LDR
    /wait 2
    /petaction Obey

    /micon "Summon II"
    /ac "Summon II"
/crosshotbar pet "Silent Dusk" 1 LDL
/crosshotbar pet "Fey Caress" 1 LDU
/crosshotbar pet "Fey Wind" 1 LDR
    /wait 2
    /petaction Obey

I play with a controller, which is why I use /crosshotbar with that weird formatting at the end instead of the regular /hotbar with simple numbers for hotbar and slot.

Learn what each fairy skill does if you haven't and keep these next to Rouse. Always pop an Adlo on your tank after each fight in dungeons so he's shielded at the start of the next pull. When you get used to things, an adlo'd tank along with popping Rouse and Whispering Dawn and/or Fey Illumination gives you a lot of time to DPS since your fairy will be able to keep your tank healthy in almost all situations. Enable Cleric Stance, Swiftcast Shadow Flare on the mobs, cast Bio II > Miasma > Bio > Bane on one mob and add in Miasma II if you feel you have time, then drop Cleric Stance and heal the tank (at this point he may be taking a beating).

This'll get you through mostly anything after some practice.

If you level 51... Just do as you did before at level 50
    Nothing change for the SCH

You will slowly learn new awesome skill that will make you less heal and more DPS XD

And never forget to use rouse !

basically what everyone else has said is true. the main DPS rotation stays the same with Broil becoming your new filler spell (SE never change this, Broil is perfect), you now have an alternative to larger heals using emergency tactixs with either Succor or Adlo, and now also Indomitability. And Deployment tactics helps for buff spreading, and it shares a CD with Eye for an Eye, so you can use them in tandum. Dissipation is the only move that is situational, (hopefully SE fixes that issue). Basically Scholars are still the DPS king of the healers.
