Me \o well not me but my PLD friend do and yes they do have a Ninja using Shadewalker on them but they pull in Sword oath. But totally agree that PLD's need more Aggro gaining.
Well then, how high do your people that play dps, dps for then?
Personally, I have a blm in my group that bursts up to 2500-3000dps at the start of a fight, till they calm down to thier normal 1700-1900dps.
first and third you have rampart and sentinel, second hallowed ground... then all those extra cds for when healers need to catch up... on average i get hit for 8-9k on first and third, i wear a pentamelded accessory and one 210 fending... only time i have an issue is if we don't down the oppressor fast enough and i get mini'd from last set of adds... (so like maybe i die but the boss dies around the same time no biggie :P)
Just is the way most of humanity is, most just want to be better then others. Samething happend to Warriors in 2.0 with Paladins mocking them, so people that are diehard Warriors to end are just doing the same to Paladins in 3.0. It's just a bad cycle of recurring events whether one side of the coin flips or not. This can also be applied to people that want Paladin to be overbuffed too in 3.1, and want to be the very best again, making the coin flip back into thier favor again. I just want the class to stop being suboptimal, and IS COMPETITIVE with the other tanks in the game.

She puts on STR gear, not all of it but enough so her HP is about 16K and she pops STR potion with fight or flight. We don't have BLM's in my static, we have 2 SMSN, MNK and NIN.
There Is a lot of misinformation in this topic.
First a fight requiring a frequent useage of CD would serve Warrior best. Everyone forgot how tanking T5 with Warrior was awesome due to IB up for every sentence ?
As for paladin enmity generation yes it is bad. Really bad i have played both at A4S and turns before. And lets be honest as a paladin If you want to swap in swo you can be really close to losing agro unless you have a ninja. When i do the same on war with the Classic berserk unchained opener the enmity Is a real joke i could sit doing nothing and still have agro
I wear 3 pentamelds, and 2 ilvl210 str accesories. Slowly replacing my stuff with ilvl210 str stuff. But atm I really do not dare to start out in Sword Oath in a pull with my BLM spiking that high. I just let my DRK co-tank do the start up on aggro instead, since Drk gets less of a dps loss in Grit versus Paladin, and Drk generates more aggro anyways. While I dps during that time period, and I do pop pots too. Slighty better dps, and better aggro generation for my group doing this way. But I think what type start up you can use really depends on group comps too.
