Why does this game punish you for wanting to help people?

If you did that you would completely remove the learning curve. How could a up coming tank, learn if the dps can literally almost 1 shot everything with their lvl 60 skills.

At that point your arent helping, you are power leveling and in a very bad way at that. The current setup is fine as is. If you want to help someone that is fine, but either do it unsynched with just the two of you, or do it the normal way with a party of 4.

Well, first of all that is wrong because every skill in the game is based off "Potency" not raw damage. Anyone who has played longer then 10 minutes knows this. Which means they would scale pretty well.

Unsynced is a lot different from Mentoring.

Mentoring makes you the level of that character and gives them an experience bonus but takes away your experience. It also lets you use all your skills, but reduces your gear level to theirs with a bonus.
