No, I would actually be happy because I would be better then they are thus stand out more.@OP
I'll humor you & pretend this is legit.
So...you want to be able to join low level dungeons & stomp everything?
Now lets say they removed this restriction...
You'd now be complaining that no one knows anything about their Jobs.
Why? Because the majority would get powerleveled by their Free Companies.
Folks would jump from 1 to 50 in a day or 2. They'd have no skill, no situational awareness, no knowledge of rotations, and no idea how their Job plays.
That said...I will agree on 1 thing. The EQ2 Mentor system would be nice for this game.
Just remember...all Mentoring did...was sync you to their level, give the mentored player some bonus xp, and heavily nerf your abilities. You were NOT powerful, you only had to option on unmentoring when the shit hit the fan to trivalize content.
More people being worse automatically makes me better, why would I complain about that?
Everquests Mentor system was pretty epic though. =3

1.To me you're a worse player because you automatically think you're better than everyone. No, I would actually be happy because I would be better then they are thus stand out more.

If your bad, your going to be bad regardless of how long you are playing.
I see 60s now that are bad, having this option won't do anything to increase or decrease that.
2. So this is contradicting what you said about this thread HELPING PEOPLE, you're not gonna help these people? Why? Because you're too good at the game? Get off your high horse.
3. Upping the lvl cap hasn't changed the game dramatically we have the same base core abilities with 5 extra abilities slapped on with trances/stances/etc maybe you should identify in your dungeons what the person is doing wrong then inform them. If they don't listen whatever, don't need to ridicule them.
For example you go into Brayflox Normal, you're a 50+ Blm with a 50+ Bard with all your abilities, the tank a paladin that has sword oath can't hold threat because the bards using foes and you're using flare to destroy everything and he can't hold threat. Then you make fun of the white mage because "This is a speed run you noob!" and you guys keep dying because the tank can't hold threat, healer who can't heal the whole group while everyone's taking dmg. Even being item lvl synced your gear (which is blue compared to their pink/white/green items) at it's bare item lvl sync is still superior if you haven't noticed when you're in a dungeon but you being a good player i'm sure you have. At the end of the day ilvl sync is needed whether you want it or not and these examples I gave you are perfect examples why.

I think you misunderstand me quite a bit.1.To me you're a worse player because you automatically think you're better than everyone.
That is your opinion. I don't think i'm better then some people, some people in the thread might be a lot better then I am. There is "always" a bigger fish.
2. So this is contradicting what you said about this thread HELPING PEOPLE, you're not gonna help these people? Why? Because you're too good at the game? Get off your high horse.
No, what I said was I didn't want to put a weight around my neck whenever I wanted to help someone. I wanted to show them how powerful i've become. Impress them, not go on their level and drag them through content. To me, THAT is boring.

Upping the level cap was one of the worst decisions this game has ever done. Even my friend who praised this to be one of the best games hes ever played and has been playing since it started is starting to get bored with the game, and he has several thousand hours played.

And you want to do this... by kicking the crap out of low-level content in a weird half-assed level sync? I don't follow.
There's a difference between ignorance and lack of skill.
More people being worse than you doesn't actually change your relative skill level at all though. If you're already bad, more people being worse than you doesn't make you any less bad than you already are. If you wanna be good, then go get good.

No. It does not. If they're worse than you, that means you're still terrible. You're just a preening peacock that wants to strut around the "plebs" thinking it'll attract some pea hens.
It's like saying that you're overweight and you would rather be around people heavier than you just so you can pretend to be skinny when, in fact, you're still a fat body.
I give this troll thread a 3/10
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.

I understand your frustration, but I think Chimeric made some very good points that you kinda brushed off. I would definitely be okay considering a non-synced option for premades, although it would encourage plvling, more spam etc..
That being said, I'm always disappointed heading into an instance and seeing I'm missing a bunch of songs and AoEs.![]()

I know, which is why I said the option would only be available for premades.I understand your frustration, but I think Chimeric made some very good points that you kinda brushed off. Out leveling people in low level content wouldn't be "helping" them at all. You'd just be adding frustration and carrying them thru the dungeon. Also the lower level dungeons were made to cater to the levels they are given, hence the reason why you are synced in progression content to begin with. Presenting a challenge to overcome is helpful in skill development. Subverting these challenges effectively negates such development and would have them carried while learning nothing at all. Beyond that there is no dungeon that is so complicated at it's relative level that it necessitates such "help."

Which is also why they are "Do once dungeons".Out leveling people in low level content wouldn't be "helping" them at all. You'd just be adding frustration and carrying them thru the dungeon. You do them once and once your done leveled with them you have no reason to ever ever go back again.

Not when you come off as an insufferable twit. Self confidence is seen as a positive trait, but arrogance is negative.A big Ego is bad? I didn't know, I thought pride and confidence were a good thing, guess I was wrong hm?
Also, why would I punish myself by doing that?
I want to literally beat my face in every time I do a low level dungeon because i'm held back SO MUCH.
I don't see why a game, meant to be "fun" punishes you for being better then others or working your rear off to become stronger, only to have that strength taken away from you constantly.
You're not "better" than people lower leveled than you. You just happen to have accumulated more experience.
