For your 819craftmanship rotation do you know when it's safe to fail 5 FS? Without changing the rotation. How much craft would I need?

Try it out on http://ffxiv-beta.lokyst.net/#/simulator, it's pretty accurate in my experience.
Cool will try it out. Thank youTry it out on http://ffxiv-beta.lokyst.net/#/simulator, it's pretty accurate in my experience.
Omg is it me or are we both in Ultros?! :O finally a video! Thanks!Updated with a video guide for anyone interested. It covers the basics of the MaMa Careful Synth rotation, when to use ToT, and shows approach making a two star chest piece. Let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to see other crafting videos which don't have good coverage right now.

Haha we are indeed both on Ultros. I though your name looked familiar but whenever I see you ingame it didn't click... now if I run by you without /wave you have permission to /bonk me!
That's lovely lol!!! I'll wave it's good to have another good crafter around! 0/

Katlyna, based on the simulator. Ingenuity can do as much as IngII. Is this true?
If so, having 448 cp should give a room for an Innovation.

The simulator has a bug for Ingenuity and isn't accurate. But you can safely switch to ingenuity I as follows:
So somewhere inbetween 790 and 800 craftsmanship (with your foodbuff included)... you could in theory use the Extra Progress rotations with Ingenuity I. With 419 base CP this would give you two free Precise/Basic (or one free precise and innovate). This would further improve the overall HQ chance nicely, effectively reducing your need to hit another hasty touch.
So in theory:
MaMa Careful Synth (Max CP, Extra Progress, Ingenuity I, Requires 10/13 Flawless Synth) Required stats 790-800 Craftsman and 467 CP
MaMa Careful Synth (Max CP, Extra Progress, Ingenuity I, Requires 9/13 Flawless Synth) Required stats 820-830 Craftsman and 467 CP
WARNING THOUGH I need to actually test this theory to see what the craftsman breakpoint actually is. I'll test this out on my blacksmith and weaver this week. I can equip the Blacksmith to be over 830 and Weaver around 790 to test this theory.
* One problem with this theory is you would actually need 421 base since 8+8 is 16 not 18... or you could use HQ Seafood... though a single ToT proc is 20 CP... so one ToT would also put you even. Max equipment CP is 422... so any way you cut it we're getting fairly high end with the rotation theory here. I personally sit at 420 (with +3 CP in main/offhand rather than +4)
---
As you noted you could use this approach to lower your CP threshold and do the synth with less CP or add another touch as I noted.
How would you go about Lv60** progression?
I was thinking something like.. BSM OH > BSM MH > CRP OH > CRP MH > Astral Birch Ring > Astral Birch Ring > Astral Birch Bracelets > Astral Birch Necklace > GSM OH > GSM MH > Aurum Earring of Crafting > LTW OH > LTW MH > Griffin Tool Belt > WVR OH > WVR MH >
After that I have access to make all the Body and Leg equipment, should I do body first or just dependent on stats? (I've not compared yet)
After that I guess ARM OH > ARM MH , then it looks like I'll have access to all armor pieces, and eventually weave in ALC/CUL MH+OHs as I need them.
Is going for the accessories/belt first a good plan or should I work on body/legs/other armor before that? Do you remember how you progressed and would you mind sharing?
EDIT: My intentions were to skip all red script gear and just use those for materials as I have quite a few stacked up from the past month or so.
It depends on your situation and approach to crafting I suppose. If you're using a CP efficient rotation and already have around 440 CP with food, it's probably easiest to start with the offhand, which provides the largest craftsmanship and control improvements. I find that the craftsmanship upgrade from the offhand is particularly useful if you're using Maker's Mark and Flawless Synthesis. If you're a bit short on CP, start with at least some of the accessories instead.
One your CP is sufficient, I find that it's best to prioritize the offhand, main-hand, and chest pieces (largely because the i180 equivalents cost a whole lot of tokens and if you're later in a rush to gear up for some reason, the other pieces are cheaper to trade for) and then leave the rest for later.
