    Wouldn't it be great to play a game where you select paladin as your job and have pugilist as your class? Where you could use your evasive and damage dealing abilities of your class with the damaging taking and eminty control abilites of your job. Where your job defines the meaning of your role and class defines how you would differently fulfil that role then someone else on that same job using another class. Where it's where we need X job but Y class doesnt matter? Where if someone wanted to be unquie they could feel free to be Con/Pld. Where they tanked by nuking using con spells for damge and reduced damage and gained hate via Pld's traits? And in this same game there was no sitiuations where they were out preformed by another class on the same job, but by how they geared themselves and how well they thought out the use of their jobs talents. Thats the game I would like to play. And thats the game this one could be.

    unless SE decides to lock a character to 1 class/job, i dont see any negative effects the new system adds to the game. they aren't taking away anything from the armory system, only adding onto it. i really dont see what the big deal is. please explain.

    However some players would scream "OMG ROFL NOOB!" if they found you playing as a unique class/job combo.

    I wouldn't, I'd say "good on you, play how you want to play, that's what games are for!"

    But still, some players would scream.

    Dunno how I'd combo... Thief/Gunner, though that'd be job/job which I wouldn't be able to do. Would be nice to utilise the speed and evasion of a thief whilst benefitting from the awesome pew-pewing of a ranged pistol wielding maniac.

    I agree I wish player's would stop with the cookie cutter mold... This is why they made the armory system the way it is... but yet still people make the mold of "if you are not of this level gtfo" like how some people want you to play gladiator tank now,and have to have other classes leveled up to 30-40 for their ability's or you are not worth their time... It sicken's me..

    I love the customization of the armory system, and I have no issue with how they are implementing the Job system from the very little info we have now. It seems to be "future proof" in that the jobs are tailored specifically for the base class, so any new classes that get added that might have vastly different mechanics (such as the dat mined info on Arcanist or a pet class, for example) will be able to get party roles that are specifically tailored to them. Having all jobs available to all classes runs into the possible issue of a square peg trying to fit into an entire selection of round holes, with the round pegs not being able to make much use out of that square hole.

    It all really rides on just how detrimental the jobs are in their cons so that we don't use them 100% of the time. As it is now if they are super restrictive they are only really useful for really large groups since you have someone else to cover whatever function you can't do, which I wouldn't really mind, because for the most part you would be doing that anyway. If they can balance them enough as an extra option and keep classes' versatility viable, I don't have much issue.

    That's what I like about my linkshell, we all play the way we want to and no one in it says what we're doing is right and wrong. Our tank holds enmity by initialising combat then healing himself whilst keeping damage reduction buffs on, the healer stands back keeping buffs applied and occassionally using damage spells untill the tank runs out of MP then commences with the heals, the rest of us just beat away at the enemy as we see fit with whatever skills we please. As long as the damned thing dies in the end who cares how we did it? A win is a win.

    Once the job system is out some of our LS players may find they prefer the customisability of just being a class over playing a job, and we won't complain to them if they stick as an Archer or a Pugilist or a Marauder instead of moving up to a job.

    End result: If it bleeds, we can kill it!

    Yea I'd personally love to be CON 24/7, but if a fight or the party setup gives me absolutely no breathing room to do nothing but heal I'd concede to change to WHM if Con is getting it. With all the balancing that they seem like they are gonna be doing, let's hope the options stay open.

    The WHOLE idea of a job system is to play what ever job you want, DD,Buffer,Healer,Nuker etc
    more than that SE havent raised the 50cap yet nor did they release an expansion pack, so wait for the introduction to the job system it will be good wont be bad if you waitied few months
