I don't think this is an accurate comparison at all. PvPers have done the level grind, too.

In other MMOs, I can obtain PvP gear by accruing currency, and there may be a special set locked behind a certain rank but 1) it's really not necessary to get it to be competitive and 2) you don't lose access to it if your rank drops. Personally, when I PvP in an MMO (and I typically enjoy PvP... except for this game), I'm less interested in having my gear make a huge difference and more interested in my skill making the difference in a win.

What do you mean "In other MMOs"? That's exactly how it is here... You do not need PvP gear to be competitive in PvP, PvP gear in this game is nothing more than a glamour trophy, and losing Rank was just a suggestion, because I'd rather see Ranks mean something, rather than just being a simple grind anyone can do.

Seriously, SE... Just remove Morale already, all it seems to be doing is confusing people... You do not need this gear to PvP in the slightest, the item level cap on Seal Rock is i150. This gear is i180, i210 with Morale applied, but it still gets synced down to i150 in Seal Rock. This stuff might be relevant when Wolves' Den gets its long awaited adjustment, but I'm incline to think we'll still get a i150 capped Lv60 Wolves' Den (like we secretly got i80 capped Lv50 Wolves' Den) because... Yeah... Skill should be the deciding factor, not gear.
