Just for my own musings but wouldn't the SS weight be negated due to the diminishing return? Considering Andyman Britney is already within the SS value needed for 2.40CD. Not that having too much/more SS is a bad thing, but my way of thinking would be that its better to have more base oomf especially for actual content (i.e. savage). Hit harder with the already 'set standard' speed, than not hitting as hard with a slightly faster speed which isn't enough to add any extra moves to our rotation but maybe makes the general rotation a little more comfortable.

I haven't run math on the diminishing returns of skill speed myself, but the 86 crit alone already almost makes up for the strength and det. Dropping to 730 crit from over 800 is a more significant loss imo than gaining the det and strength can make up. It's personal preference to some degree, sure, but ss IS always a flat dps gain. The only negative to more ss is faster burnout. If they wanna drop ss the more effective way to do so would be buying Dragonlancer's boots to replace Gordian ones. Trades ss for det and doesn't give you 90 more accuracy.

SS gains can't be measured in how many skills are added to a single run under one heavy thrust. You measure over the course of a fight and see how many extra gcds you get before phase transitions.

If you have the i210 pants, and you're working on A4S, might as well use them for the VIT even if i200 pants are theoretically close in DPS. DRG's fortunate enough to be able to survive a messed up Carnage near i210, unlike everyone else (except BLM <3). Well, sometimes anyway.

Our SCH pulled it off with Fey Covenant, apparently.

I dunno. That one piece of gear causes your health to go up by around 225 in party with food. Not sure how tight that kill would be in terms of how much damage it'll do to you, but I've very rarely seen a survival with less hp than that. While I'm all for those lucky saves with messed up mechanics or what have you, I'm a firm believer in the fact that progression should always be about learning NOT to screw things up rather than scrambling to fix regular mistakes.

Brought this up last night when someone mentioned how we could just let one Piston in the last group hit the electricity since we CAN survive it. You shouldn't plan for - or gear yourself toward - mistakes. You should plan for things to go right. 86 crit is a huge swing to lose for the off-chance you could maybe survive a botched mechanic, imo, when the fight is already a super tight dps check. But, I mean, personal preference. xD

Have you seen Carnage? It's the most random mechanic in the game, even practicing it for weeks can still allow a slip up here or there if the spawns and angle are truly ludicrous. Not something to be relied on but I as BLM love being able to survive a botched one.

About A3S, I don't think you CAN survive a Piston going into the water, even if you "survive" it. The boss gets a stack. Good luck for the next 7 minutes!

Is this BiS for A4S ? A friend of mine is arguing ESO weapon is BiS because you need a minimum of 620 sskp to maintain 3 geirk/min but I thought 2.41 gcd is enough for that ?

    Skillspeed Softcaps:
    Maximum : 652
    Minimum : 590
That's from the fourth post on the first page. Around 590 onward you reach 2.41, which I can confirm is enough to reach 3 Geirskogul per minute and/or double Geirskogul under B4B.

    Best in slot gear.

The difference in weight is less than 1. The difference in stat spread is massive.
