I agree with some points...we do need a proper parser and more interesting stats on our stuff. Still waiting for those 1.x stats we were told are coming ^^

The server delay is even worse as EU player since you also have 180~200 ping on top of that. It's the only real reason why I barely do any content that requires combat in this game. The only things I agree with here is the server delay and the lack of an official parser. I haven't found skill bloat to be an issue as of yet outside of PvP, but if they add more skills in the expansion it's definitely going to be one. They're going to have to make them entirely passive, or replace current skills with new ones (if they add a fourth mudra sign for Ninjas I will sudoku).
that ll be different from ppl to ppl, I am living in Denmark and I can do coil or Alex savage
Well, im personally used to 20 ping and the fast reactionspeed that allows. So playing with a 400ms delay is NG for me. Nothing to do with difficulty, its just not enjoyable...like trying to wade through a mudswamp.
just gotta get use to thing. Eu server are coming anyway, time to take on arm and get that small body ready for battle !
Yeah, hopefully EU servers will solve it. I live about a thousand miles from the NA data center but my ping is only 30-40 ms so I have none of those issues as described in the OP. I mean, I wish I had MORE off global cooldown abilities. Sometimes I run out of stuff to smack in between GCDs and I feel kind of dumb just sitting there pressing a button every three seconds.
I play on keyboard though, not controller, so I've got 36 direct keybinds and another dozen or so universal ones bound to vertical hotbars. Things only get a little more complex when I add the pet hobtar (bound to my shift key) into the mix.
I don't mind the glamour system at all. But I have all crafters at 50 so setting up outfits for me is a matter of switching jobs and making sure I have the materials on hand, which I usually do. I do wish it was like the dark matter and carbonized matter, where a higher grade could be used on lower grade items so I could just keep grade 5 crystals on hand.
Apparently you have not played many mmos. Just because there are a ton of skills, doesn't mean they are used all the time. Last I checked, most classes have 35-45ish binds for skills (some are lucky and can just not bind skills).
In ffxi, you used a few skills, you knew before the fight, that you macros to use with other abilities. Also, the game play was almost snail-like in pace compared to modern mmos. Comparing TWO mmo's, is not comparing many. You are listing 2 mmos that are nearly 15 years old.
Guildwars2 reduced skill bloat by a TON, you have to pick and choose skills, WoW has revamped and reduced it by a ton, Aion had a combo system that allowed for one button to allow for multiple chained skills to allow room for situational binds, Wildstar had an ability cap, Ragnarok Online 2 had maybe 2 action bars of stuff....
Please contribute something meaningful that anecdotal evidence, and fyi, ffxi was the KING of skill bloat. You did not use every skill, you used a small handful.
So I ask you, have you played anyother mmos other than GW and FFXI?
Who, or what are you talking about and to whom? I am genuinely curious as I am incapable of reading minds.
***Sidenote.... The community on this forum is incredibly rude with their "quote". If you just remove the original content and replace it with "snip, stuff, etc..." you just prove how little you read of the original content that you can't actually pick a quote and instead insert some demeaning comment that proves you are just waiting for your turn to speak, not actually engaging in a conversation.
Quotes allow others to follow your line of logic, reasoning, or just to further enforce the point you are addressing or making.

It's probably one of the most pompous attitudes possible to assume that people who disagree with you just don't understand.
