Adding Legacy Tattoo to Mog Station

Personally, I think it should stay the way it is. I am legacy too, but I don't play my original legacy character. I recreated him on a non-legacy server to experience ARR from the very beginning. RP-wise he is still the same character, but he doesn't have the legacy tattoo. Instead, I gave him a scar on the cheek to prove his participation the battle at Carteneau. It's all in the mindset, really.

You fought the good fight my friend. Do not get discouraged. Perhaps one day we will be able to break though the rampant elitism and entitlement that those more fortunate to both know about and have the money to pay for 1.0 have. Some day we will be able to be seen as equal supporters of this game we both know, play, and support. The tattoo and legacy items just make a schism in this community. I had not thought it to be the case before these threads, but honestly I am appalled.

I'm not even sure where this is coming from... do you mean politely against it like posts #5, and #6? which are literally on the first page? Or did posts #28 and #83 not politely make their points either? and surely post number #315 on this very page couldn't be seen as aggressive.

It seemed that more often the hostility came from those who were politely told the reasons as to why this suggestion isn't supported by the community as opposed to the other way around, that or I've been reading the wrong thread.

I played 1.0 from the beginning, got the collectors edition and everything. I even played a while after it went free, but I stopped maybe three months or so before they started gearing up for the whole Dalamud/ARR story line.

When I started ARR (Again, collectors edition, did the beta, the whole nine yards) I noticed that I already had a pre-saved character creation template to choose from. It said 1.0, and it has the original character design I had for 1.0. However, I've never actually reused this character creation template, so here is my question: If I create a new character using that 1.0 character data template, will it automatically have the tattoo?

That struggle was up to the players hard up enough to continue to play a messed up broken game and is there own fault.That's like going around in life saying lucky you have a nice car back in my day i walked all over or had no cell phone. Your the one that put up with it and or had to deal with it so move on don't cry to others about it

You misunderstand, at that time the few people that played the game enjoyed it, we didn't knew something better until ARR came, so people didn't mind it until better stuff came out, and that simple reason is why 1.0 players have the Tattoo and the people that didn't care about the game at that time don't.

Check the other legacy servers your character from 1.0 might be on one of those. I have 2 characters from 1.0 and when 2.0 launched one was on a NA server and the other one was on a JP server even though they were on same server in 1.0
