It would therefore be very possible for SE to add a line of code so that when a certain glamour is applied, potencies change. Which is most likely how they changed the potencies for Garuda/Titan anyways. They also share the exact same A.I and abilities as their Carby counterparts, so they literally are just a model change which is exactly what a glamour is.
It's splitting hairs maybe, but SE set a clear precedence with armor glamours, so I wouldn't lump the potency boost in with the glamouring process. Either way let's not forget Eos and Selene, which presumably use the same base system (and background code) and they change abilities and behaviors.

I say that since it basically means the whole system is pokemon evolutions. Only having Summon I-III wouldn't be so restrictive if that was worked on more. If it was just a strict potency boost, Garuda/Titan/Ifrit would be invalidated. We'd have stronger pets, but still just 3 (pertinent) choices. That's technically not a bad idea, but if the idea is to give people more pet options, that doesn't. If they kept Garuda/etc valid, then itd be the same potency boost across the board, and then we're just back to glamouring models. Now if they modified behavior (some abilities), Garuda/etc would still be possible options, but that's not much different then just adding more pets with 3 summon slots to chose from.

So if we stick with the current base system, I see it only going three possible ways right now: Evolutions, New Summons and 3 Slots (essentially), or literally Just Glamours. Thoughts?

Doesn't block poison, if you look at the wiki.
