What I don't understand is why the Egi glamour topic keeps going around in the exact same circle of reductive rhetoric.

I get that people are worried the Egi glamours might not stand out and just be a mere clones. But regardless Egi glamours are confirmed now, so if we do ever see a new pet type it won't be for a long while. Furthermore people are again still forgetting that Garuda and Titan are already glamours of Emerald/Topaz Carbuncle, and other then the model design people are fine with them....so it's pretty much an oxymoron at this point.

Perhaps it would be best to wait and see exactly what SE are planning for the Egi glamours before falling back into the same rhetoric because it's not constructive to just repeat the same thing again, and again, and again. Don't get me wrong I adore the Egi and the prospect of new Egi (glamour or not) but there is far more Egi related stuff to talk about than just whether you want the new Egi to be introduced as glamours or not.

At least Carbuncle upgrading to Garuda/Titan gave a potency boost.

This is an interesting point because it shows that even though Garuda/Titan are just glamours of E.Carby/T.Carby, their abilities potency can be altered without effecting the coding of the original pet. This suggests that SE would be fully capable of editing the potency of the abilities for each Egi glamour, just like they did for Garuda and Titan.
