If he can't hold aggro it teaches him to get better. It is a lesson most tanks need to learn, so many are so afraid to pull these days and it can get boring. It also teaches bad healers to actually heal and not sit and wait like 99% seem to do. Better to nip that bud when they are youngins.

Eh, in low level dungeons anyone can tank it. I would rather have better tanks at high level.
Chances are that tank will just end up doing his next run with a bad healer unable to keep him alive during a big pull he did because he was previously randomly kicked by someone who prefered that option instead of just saying "you can pull more if you want" like a normal human being with compassion...
... which will lead him to another kick and a bunch of questions in his head all saying "what the hell am I doing wrong? A dude kicked me for not pulling enough, and another one for pulling too much... Errr I'll just switch to carefree DPS because that's how it seems to work".

Telling them fancy words does not suddenly make them a leader. It makes them feel like you are babying them dude and telling them how to play, hand holding.The issue you have, is that you try to take that leadership role but offer nothign constructive in its place. You want tanks to be leaders? Then do what you're *****ing about. Teach them. Show them how. The only thing I hate is when bad people are bad and try to throw blame around. Cahracters not using vital skills, etc etc.
But not pulling large packs because it suits /your/ fancy? Just seems hypocritical.
Do you not see the irony dripping from your stance of not talking to people? In the same breath as you claim that the 'way of talking to people has gone out the window'?
Honestly. I don't know if you're just a hypocrite... if you're just honestly so full of yourself that you honestly think what you're doing is helping anyone.
I've honestly said all I can really say to you at this point. There's nothing more for it here - you got your beliefs and you're gonna keep doing it, regardless of how many sane rational people point out to you that you're doing a greater disservice to the very same community that you so badly 'want to be better.'
Hmn...I completely agree on the rest of the post but...
TBH even though MNK isn't in the realms of BLM or SMN with Elixir Field (220 potency AOE, 30 sec recast) now its definitely much more improved. Also with Purification TP isn't an issue for Perfect balance and Rockbreaker spam even though The forbidden Chakra is generally a much better use of the meditate.
It is still a net DPS gain for you to pull extra mobs with a MNK it's just less of a gain than if you went from single pulls to multiples when you have blms. DRG I can't comment on but as far as I remembered they were already better than MNK for Aoe DPS.
I'll keep that in mind in the future - I appreciate it. I'll ask around and see what people feel on it. It definitely feels like it'd help in Melee+BRD comps. DRG is good with AoE but it's not sustainable - and I imagine it'll be similar with MNK. Though skills like Geirskugal hit multiple mobs.

Ran Neverreap with War, Sch, Drg and Mnk (me), we just pull everything and AOE the hell out of it, everything dies extremely fast, we even pull the Treant + the 4 bees together and just burn it down with AOE. The AOE is sustainable through purification, mobs usually die before I run out of TP, even if they don't die they would be low hp and I can go back to single target rotation to burst them down quick.I'll keep that in mind in the future - I appreciate it. I'll ask around and see what people feel on it. It definitely feels like it'd help in Melee+BRD comps. DRG is good with AoE but it's not sustainable - and I imagine it'll be similar with MNK.
