When i'm on my healer in low level zones I just pull if the tank pulls too slow since it teaches him a lesson about fear. If he can't hold aggro it teaches him to get better. It is a lesson most tanks need to learn, so many are so afraid to pull these days and it can get boring. It also teaches bad healers to actually heal and not sit and wait like 99% seem to do. Better to nip that bud when they are youngins.

If a tank stops, you kick him. He will needs to learn that if someone tanks better then he should be DPSing.

Adaptability is a skill many people need to learn, you should not have to see a video to learn very simple mechanics of fights. The hardest dungeon right now is Aurum Vale, that is the only dungeon out of any Non-Savage, Non-Coil Raid I recommend saying. Everything else is simple and you can learn easily just by watching.

Unfortunately MMOs these days are Solo-Friendly games where you can pop in a duty finder and never have to talk to anyone again. There are no contested zones and no content your fighting and racing for. So you are not encouraged to rush and press forward but take your time, which to me is the reason MMOs are so boring these days. Fighting for content and racing are cut-out of every modern MMO, and the best players are the ones who remember the old times. =P

I don't think you're teaching anyone the lessons you think you're teaching at low level. Some people just need time to become familiar with their toolkit, and that's typically easier to do when they're in control of the environment. Just because their class is capable of tanking multiple packs doesn't mean they're comfortable with it, especially while they're still leveling their class. You know what you're getting into when you roll low level roulette, stop getting your kicks from playing "teacher" and just play your role.

You do realize that most players on here and in the game, would want to kick you from their group, right?

Also, the OP didn't say he had problems with players pulling trash, he was trying to explain tactics while they just pulled the bosses. I don't care what you think, but if you pull a boss as a non-tank job, you're not doing your job, and you should play as a tank instead.

If you think it's unnecessary to explain tactics, then you tell them that, and have a civilized discussion about it, instead of being a retard and just pulling.

I agree that a lot of players need to learn to do things with some pace, and actually "challenge" themselves when doing this kind of content, but again... You tell them that, you don't just pull.

Actions speak louder then words. Actions will be remembered far more then a random dude telling them how to play. Nobody remembers that but everyone remembers actions.

All they'll remember is playing with some guy who would run ahead and pull more than they wanted to. Then the next time it happens they just let the guy die adding more time to the run for no reason. No such thing as a bad student, just a bad teacher, and what you are attempting to teach is bad. I'm being nice too.

"I'm so smart I'll votekick the tank if he makes us lose more than 3 minutes overall on our run so we can wait half an hour to get a new one and repeat the process!"

Eh, in low level dungeons anyone can tank it. I would rather have better tanks at high level.

Chances are that tank will just end up doing his next run with a bad healer unable to keep him alive during a big pull he did because he was previously randomly kicked by someone who prefered that option instead of just saying "you can pull more if you want" like a normal human being with compassion...
... which will lead him to another kick and a bunch of questions in his head all saying "what the hell am I doing wrong? A dude kicked me for not pulling enough, and another one for pulling too much... Errr I'll just switch to carefree DPS because that's how it seems to work".

    Good job professor.

Then that healer will learn to heal better and have more for the group. <3 Human psychology.

But not pulling large packs because it suits /your/ fancy? Just seems hypocritical.
Telling them fancy words does not suddenly make them a leader. It makes them feel like you are babying them dude and telling them how to play, hand holding.
