If a tank stops, you kick him. He will needs to learn that if someone tanks better then he should be DPSing.

Adaptability is a skill many people need to learn, you should not have to see a video to learn very simple mechanics of fights. The hardest dungeon right now is Aurum Vale, that is the only dungeon out of any Non-Savage, Non-Coil Raid I recommend saying. Everything else is simple and you can learn easily just by watching.

Unfortunately MMOs these days are Solo-Friendly games where you can pop in a duty finder and never have to talk to anyone again. There are no contested zones and no content your fighting and racing for. So you are not encouraged to rush and press forward but take your time, which to me is the reason MMOs are so boring these days. Fighting for content and racing are cut-out of every modern MMO, and the best players are the ones who remember the old times. =P
You do realize that most players on here and in the game, would want to kick you from their group, right?

Also, the OP didn't say he had problems with players pulling trash, he was trying to explain tactics while they just pulled the bosses. I don't care what you think, but if you pull a boss as a non-tank job, you're not doing your job, and you should play as a tank instead.

If you think it's unnecessary to explain tactics, then you tell them that, and have a civilized discussion about it, instead of being a retard and just pulling.

I agree that a lot of players need to learn to do things with some pace, and actually "challenge" themselves when doing this kind of content, but again... You tell them that, you don't just pull.

One thing that would help is to change it so that in 4 man groups all three need to vote yes instead of only two.
It's way more likely that two people know each other than three and even so, if you got the entire team against you then it might be wise to switch party anyway. If you only got 50% against you then they should not hold the power to kick not only you, but the other guy too should they wish.

Imo you should need at least 51% in favor on all instances.

The past week I've been leveling BLM from the low 20s (just got to 50 about 8 hours ago), farming dungeons (primarily Brayflox because I want the entire battlemage gear). I've been noticing a trend in dps, mainly DRG & NIN, breaking CCs that I've been using when it seems the tank is having difficulty (thus making LESS work for the healer) & pulling before the tank because they're Sonic the Hedgehog. What would really help is communication. If the healer would prefer the tank to pull bigger, then they should let them know. "Hey, go crazy with the big pulls. I've got the healing covered."

So there just needs to be more communication. More polite communication.

Actions speak louder then words. Actions will be remembered far more then a random dude telling them how to play. Nobody remembers that but everyone remembers actions.

"I'm so smart I'll votekick the tank if he makes us lose more than 3 minutes overall on our run so we can wait half an hour to get a new one and repeat the process!"

    Official forums these days...

Eh, in low level dungeons anyone can tank it. I would rather have better tanks at high level.

I love how you call this 'unfortunate' (Bold), yet you do things that literally offer NO COMMUNICATION WHATSOEVER.

Seriously dude, if you were in my party and you started pulling? I'd just kick you out of my party. Goodluck, have fun sitting in que again.

A good tank will communicate with their healer weather or not they are going to do big pulls or not. A good tank looks at the party composition and communicates what they're going to do - offering opportunity for protests if necessary.

A bad player does what you do. They ignore everything else and assume they know what's best for the party, and unfortuantely, MMO's these day are solo-friendly games where you can pop in a duty finder and never have to talk to anyone again.

Healer ques are not that bad. Whatever, probably a bad group anyways.

If you want better tanks at high levels, be actually helpful so that they can improve.

The attitude you are displaying is the reason many players that have tried tanking and quit gave for giving up.

Kind of hard to have good tanks at high level when they are not even being given a fair chance at low level.

My response to this garbage is /sit and watch you die. You can either knock that crap off and we can continue the run, or you can kick me and wait for some other tank to come in, however long that'll be.

If you want to tank a dungeon, then you can damned well queue as a tank. Otherwise, you stand back and heal/dps and let me do my job, at whatever pace I feel like going that day.
