I'm sure there's a cultural component to things as well. I know that in the western world we tend to complain and criticize before we say something positive, and we want to be HEARD. NOW. Similarly, the JP community reps are probably more likely to respond to things than their NA counterparts. But I think that if you took the number of community rep responses on the NA forums and compared them to the ones on the JP forums, there's probably a similar amount. Sifting through our tens of thousands of duplicate topics, or topics demanding resolutions, changes, fixes, etc, verses monitoring the comparative trickle of incoming information on the JP side has got to be overwhelming at best. If we want "More" responses from Devs and Community reps, we need to seriously cut down the chatter a bit.

note that two of those threads are from this year(2015). the rest are much older, and dont do what the Eng side do; multiples of the same topic. we do have community rep posts, but most of the time the threads they posted in are buried under reposts of threads that were already answered because people couldnt be bothered to use the search function. atm on the front page, there are 3 threads that i would think would get a response because they arent trying to flat out change the game, asking for handouts, or complaining about non existent problems.

It's more about how you voice it. Look at everything here, if we think a class could use adjusting, 199/200 threads will be titled along the lines of "OMG QQ! Mage Bard is so stupid! FFXIV is going to lose all its subs!" And 1/200 that reads "Ideas to improve bard".

Also, we give very few suggestions with our whiney entitled rants.

Edit: One great example of us drowning out a response. Just when HW hit the PS store, there was an issue with buying it if you had done the PS3 to PS4 upgrade campaign. A thread popped up about it. In the first couple of pages we had an appropriate response. What happened, people didn't come and look for an answer, about 50 stupid rage threads popped up in the next couple of hours, even though we already had a response, even when the response was pasted in each thread, we ignored and ranted.

The JP folk actually give well constructed feedback.

Funny thing about this statement: When someone on this side does give well constructed feedback, they usually get one or all of the following responses:

"Don't let the door hit you on the way out"

Amongst other things, usually in the rudest way a person can respond as well.

All of those responses indicate that the original poster in that situation was threatening to leave if X did not happen. Last I checked, threats were not very constructive.
