I agree, some of the parser results are grossly inflated that get posted on things like Reddit. But. When the difference between 2 jobs that are equally geared or the one underperforming is actually better geared and doing half the damage of a BRD as a BLM even with Foe Req being maintained as much as Mana allows. Then their is a problem. Especially if DPS checks are getting repeatably failed. Had a party in The Aery that after 4 tries could not kill the adds in time for Nidhogg to wipe the party with his ultimate. (I was levelling PLD).

As shown with the forums the annoying attitude for those players is to come on the forums and demand nerfs instead of looking at themselves first and seeing how they can clear it. To get them selves to the level that is needed, instead of bringing the level needed to where they don't have to improve which just shoots themselves in the foot for later when content actually needs focus.

Without accountability certain players will continue the same with the blind idea that it isn't them that are unable to pass content, but that the content is too hard. Even a personal parser that isn't shared with the rest of the party may give them a much needed wake up call that they are inhibitiong themselves when it comes to content and the content is not preventing them from progressing.

Rotational problems are surprisingly easy to spot. Especially if you play those Jobs yourself. You'd be surprised how many people are actually open to suggestion when it comes to fixing up their rotations. One rather memorable such event was teaching a Black Mage in AV how to do a proper rotation instead of just spamming Fire III as he had been doing.
