summon models from XI over to XIV nao plz.

I'd rather have an illusion of choice than have the illusion that my character's getting better when the gear is just going to get replaced in a few months. If gear had unique stats those pieces could potentially last longer, even if the ilvl is lower. As it is right now only Tanks have the ability to choose (between VIT or STR accessories), and I'm sure SE will find a way to make VIT the go-to stat so that we don't even have that choice anymore.
One of my (and many others) favorite things to do in RPG's is collect a variety of gearsets. Even if people "run the numbers", it's still better than having secondaries that mean practically nothing...

Dynamis:
Keep it how it used to be, when we needed full alliances to clear it successfully.
Nyzul Isle:
Loved how this made use of group coordination.
Corsair:
My main job, as I prefer support.

Notice the bowmage pun... meaning don't give drgs pets... and SMN is not a pet class I am confused now?

+1I'm not sure if it's possible, but the old slower paced leveling that didn't emphasize getting to end game and pushed people to explore and enjoy the game world more for what it is. I feel like the style of game that we have now is exceptionally competitive and group play is less about playing together and more about assembling a team of people to get things we want to get done in a time efficient manner. Call it the musings of someone who got stuck in the transition from Everquest style games to Action MMORPGs, but the older games had their advantages.
I agree with this 100%. As for exploration, FFXI made me curious with new areas I enter, so I wanted to explore. In FFXIV, I only explored to get the Mapping Achievements lol

I played from 2005 to 2014 (ending on Xbox 360). Unfortunately, there will be no more access to the game on PS2 and Xbox 360, and PC users will get no more add-ons or expansions (just fixes from bugs and stuff). So this is a theme park MMO.
That was a sandbox MMO.
The two are not compatible and Devs already stated much of the nostalgic content from FFXI will not be coming back, because they are actively trying a new approach.
The servers are still up for FFXI, should you choose.

Doubt that type of gameplay will come back in mainstream MMO's hopefully an indy developer makes a game for you grindy level types.

It really isn't, sadly :/ What they could have done was, instead of all DoTs, they could have buffed the summons and all your skills would be skills for the summon, changing depending on which was used.
That would have felt more like a true smn, rather than a DoT with a gimp pet.
I mean a good chunk of dps is still from the pet, just sounds like you wanted a different type of pet class. Not discrediting your idea just calling the pet gimp seems mean to my carb. :PIt really isn't, sadly :/ What they could have done was, instead of all DoTs, they could have buffed the summons and all your skills would be skills for the summon, changing depending on which was used.
