Completely this. AST to me is a Hybrid Support Healer, in a game that needs a 3rd healer, not a Support. Especially when Yoshi himself has said he has no intention to make a support type class in the current game, and yet we have AST.

Now I love my AST, but when you change to a WHM or SCH and find that you can keep the party up much easier, you are very disheartened. Can current content be done with an AST? Yes, it can, but it's much more difficult, as is seen from experience on the forums, my own personal experience, and anyone with half a brain. I believe AST have great tools in certain situations, but overall your partner has to compensate for your shortcomings. It becomes much more noticeable in longer fights and most notably in Savage.

Sadly I had to switch to SCH, and quite honestly I hate the job. I can't stand it, there's a million and one buttons, low range AE heals, a fairy to micromanage, etc. It's just not for me, but for the sake of the group I switched, and within the first attempt of Savage Alex, I could already tell a difference in how much easier it was to heal on them, not only that but to actually add damage without depleting my mana entirely unless I happened to draw the right card.

I've voiced my concerns in other threads, just a matter if SE will take any action and/or what action to help AST at this point. Until then, I will not hinder my group even further in difficult content because of a class I happened to like that just doesn't perform as well.

Keep making these threads and don't listen to the people saying there's already enough. The job is broken and SE needs to fix it. Keeping it all under 1 or 2 threads makes the issue seem less than it actually is. I noticed the exact same thing about the PF, no one ever wants an AST in the party. What's sad are the people that defend AST to the death with their keep it under 1 post messages non stop. Get over it, the class has problems and needs to be fixed. What makes you think SE is listening so well and reading just 1 thread? Where's their replies on here? This is an open forum, people can post 50 topics as new threads if they want. If you don't like it then too bad for you, don't read it then.

Yea but putting it all in 1 thread will make a way bigger impact since the only thing we do know is removing the older threads from the first page.
Have like a big "Astrologian complaint" thread or something with a mass of pages, will get more looked on then everyone and their grandmother making their own thread.

The way I see it, is that it do not has anything to offer.

Yes it's hybrid, but only offer regen OR shield at any time, and weaker version of it.

Also, the heals are expensive and kind of weak.

Now, you have WHM and SCH that offer both very strong AOE and single target heals, very efficient mana regen and plenty of free heal.

What is has to offer are the card, but I think cards need to be fixed. 15s RNG buff every minutes seem not enough. Especially when Selene give 3% speed 50% of the time if used on CD.

I didn't level it, so maybe I have no right to complain But I really want to play a AST that has as much value as SCH and WHM.

SE will fix it when they fix it. Sometimes it can't be done overnight. There are a lot of balance issues they're probably thinking about, including testing. Yes, testing should have been completed beforehand but maybe the had invisioned the class to act in another way that wasn't/isn't still fully conceptualized. They're listening (As seen in the OTHER thread regarding AST healing es in savage) but please, try and keep it contained into the mega-thread.

In the end its a game, if you don't like a particular aspect just pick something else. If you can't stand the others aspects then tis probably not the game for you.

Another post complaining about Ast QQ on the forums, couldn't we just put all the complaints about QQing into one post. Human beings will continue to complain about things they find unsatisfactory as long they have a forum to do so.

At the end of the day it's just a forum, if you don't like this aspect of this particular forum, than just browse a different forum. If you can't stand QQing in general than perhaps forums aren't for you.

I like this post honestly because it drives the point home. Too many of the other thread have people saying AST is fine and nothing is wrong. Pics like those prove that AST are now being left out. It shows the devs it's not a vocal minority just complain but the community as a whole that feel AST is lacking.
