And yes this is another AST whining post. Just as Nasrin said, we need to keep voicing out thoughts in order to let SE take it seriously.

Besides all the stuff people have been mentioning, the 15 yalm "medica II" is just ridiculous in savage raiding, it greatly limits the positioning of other party members. And let alone other problems, the very fact AST's party buff is PIE and can't be switched with stance makes the class a subpar partner for scholar, since it will make the party lose the MIN buff which further increases healing burden.


Last night 4/5 PF parties were like this, it's not even funny:

If the PF "culture" is like this, it's really reflecting something, SE.

Problem of AST is: Hybrids are always a difficult topic. A hybrid like this does work on a damage dealer, because the only thing they have to provide is damage. And when you do less damage, but buff other players to do more of it, everyone is happy.

On a Healer it is a little more complicated: there are only 2 of them in one group, and so you have much more responsibility. A hybrid Healer with buffs but lower healing capability (Mainly missing Healcooldowns), just doesn't work that well in this raiding environment. The first thing a healer needs are tools to make sure the party doesn't die. Also the buffs on AST just don't justify the missing healing power, it's barely a difference.

Honestly, you can't rely on medica II the whole time in savage anyways. It's a great tool and the range is awesome but medica is 15y and you will need it.

Not disagreeing that ASTs need help.

These threads are out of control. SE knows the AST has problems and are actively both working on fixing them as well as keeping an eye on current AST endgame activity to get some real data on how things are going in game. The community team even posted in the AST Savage Alex thread letting us know as well as encouraging people to continue to provide good feedback.

So not only does your "quitting" AST hurt yourself any other AST's by giving SE less endgame data to collect, but it's unnecessary. There's no need to grab SE's attention because we already have it. All these types of whining/quitting threads are just dumb. Time to grow up. Nobody cares if you quit a class and nobody wants to read your bitching about it. If you have good feedback SE is listening, if you want to challenge yourself with endgame content then do it and know SE is watching. Otherwise, go back to your other healers quietly please.

But is it worth delaying your static's progression? The loss of capability within the party?

Comments regarding how astrologians feel when healing throughout the various areas of content is very useful, so please continue to send us specific requests on each action's effect when battling through the different instances.

Yeah I'm not spamming AH because it will not be possible to keep the mana up. There are moments to best utilize it and I'm only using it during those moments. The issue I'm mentioning is the healing radius posing limit to the party positioning. With Medica II it would be way more flexible.
