Dont look at me, im just reiterating what I read but I do see where they are coming from.

Lets take Warcraft for example. They at least try to stir the pot a little with their game when expansions come out. For TBC they made the instances quicker, lowered the head counts for raids, attempted to improve WPvP with map objectives. These were all complaints players had (more or less) of vanilla WoW. What has FFXIV improved upon from player feedback? PvP is still non-existent because of GC's, instances are just as long and gated behind MSQ's, cant go in alone to farm gear, there are still tomes which take forever to get, personal housing is still an extremely limited mess, inventory problems could only have gotten worse... I mean I still have to dismiss my chocobo before queueing up for a dungeon. They couldnt even address that?!?!

You may not agree with everything Blizzard has done with their game, hell its bitten them on the ass sometimes (*cough* flight *cough*), but at least they put some effort into addressing issues players have had with their expansions.
