I'm hoping that the new players joining in HW get bored fast with xiv's routine and the long time playes will get sick of it soon. I mean, I already am. Used to try and do a lot more than I currently am. Just grabbing the important weekly/daily caps that I deem important now. Basically hoping that people start unsubbing left and right for yoship and se to start panicking and start throwing curve balls. If it fails and the game dies for real, so be it.

It's a weird dream to have, but I have it none the less.

It's a weird weird way to say it, but I kind of agree. Not in hoping people leave, but just in SE deciding to mix it up a little, take risks, try to innovate somewhat. I understand why the game is how it is currently, Yoshi came in to save the game, and he did so by basically implementing a bunch of tried and true systems and adding FF flair.

But the game is the 2nd most popular subscription based MMO in the world right now. You'd think it would be about time they try to add a little more variety or uniqueness to things.

Like others have said here, The game does a lot right, and is very polished. It does very very few things that aren't seen in other places though.

or you can quit and find something else other than wishing death upon ff14, kinda selfish really and i don't see that happening with the constant patch updates

We are merely expressing our frustration in that we love Final Fantasy XIV and we want to see it succeed but they refuse to change their method. It was good for 2.0, it kept me interested to the end of it. Enter Heavensward! Big smiles, big hopes, big expectations AND!.... wha-.. what? It's the same thing? Why you be? No one should be surprised if FFXIV starts to see a huge decline soon. It's their own fault for not spicing it up.

You took the person's quote out of context. He quoted someone else who had said they actually wanted FF14 to crash and burn because of how unsatisfied they are with the way the game is now. It's one thing to complain about the game, but to hope that it fails like 1.0 did is either trolling or reeks of arrogance.

Well, yeah. I doubt the devs read the English forums themselves, and the CMs aren't going to forward every thread suggesting something, no matter how vague or impractical, to them.
