yeah - got turned into a mini *CRY* - But still pay attention to my DPS prior to the split and here is why. All DPS prior to the split counts as 2, thats why this phase is super important for beating the enrage. When the split happens, the 2nd boss mimics the health of the main when the split happens.

Raging Strikes didn't effect Enkindle before 3.0, what about now? Does DT also effects Enkindle? I now Pots do now.

Did 1340 on our Faust clear, but that was with COMPLETELY screwing up the opener by forgetting to hit Dreadwrym Trance before 3Ding and doing a Fester. T__T No BRD in our group, just a NIN. I also died, though it was at 1% so probably not much of a DPS loss (our OT took a dirt nap and the adds pinged to me because of Shadowflare DPS and they wrecked me).


EDIT: our MT afk'd out because of RL shit so we had to re-do Faust...1588 on the second clear. Pot didn't go off on the opener because of that stupid delay on pots, but other than that performed pretty flawlessly. Nice. Thanks for the advice, everyone, I'll continue trying to improve.

EDIT OF THE EDIT: Doing about 950 average on our Oppressor attempts... I could probably do better, considering we haven't made it too far into the fight. Managing stacks and DWT with two Oppressors up is rather difficult. Still, I'm rounding out at second-highest DPS usually, so I suppose for learning it's not too bad.

So since our group can't raid till Saturday, we decided we were gonna put up a PF 5/8 pug A1S party for fun. I was at 1130 8:20 minutes into the fight before we wiped.

1K+ SMN/DRG, 950 BRD/MCH/MNK if killed right after final Liberation was our highest.

Any ideas about what the Acc caps are for A1 and A2 savage? And after seeing the DRG stat weights I'd guess one int=8 Acc over cap is close.

Hey, I'm fairly new to SMN and I'm also a fairly fresh 60 SMN. I didn't really play SMN before the expansion, and I'm wondering if any of the info in the main post is out of date.

What pet is best to use now? The OP seems to make Ifrit sound the best in most situations, but is that true now with Dreadwyrm Trance and the ability to extend the 10% increased DoT duration?

Can someone give me a good opener? I'm having trouble figuring out when to use Raging Strikes and Tri-Disaster. I assume we hold both back for Trance.

Do you ever Trance without Tri-Disaster? If so, what do you cast during the duration?

What's the optimal Trance rotation? I'm trying to fit two Festers in, but I always mess up and am not sure on the timing.
