You know, SE could have named these gear different and you wouldn't be complaining. Actually, we, the players, are the ones who are labeling these gear as "AF2". You're giving more importance to these gear for arbitrary reasons, when these gear isn't different than the Evenstar gear when the Soldiery Tomes came up, or the Ironworks gear when the poetics tomes came up.

Yes, it will take months to get the sets you (and me) want, but that happened before.
