People aren't complaining about job specific gear... if anything people would like to see more of it. You're really missing the point.

Im not missing the point. Your complaining that earning tomestones should be faster. Im telling you it CANT BE or people will gear and unsub and the game will fail. We ASKED for class unique gear and we got it. We made this and now were complaining. No matter what SE does they can't win.

I didn't expect this at all. I main AST/PLD/BLM and I have gear them all separate which will take like what? 9 months?

You're giving more importance to these gear for arbitrary reasons, when these gear isn't different than the Evenstar gear when the Soldiery Tomes came up, or the Ironworks gear when the poetics tomes came up.

Except it's a job set and pretty much is "AF2" You literally have to go 1 by 1, it's not ROLE set's.

...I don't understand why anyone thinks casual content should equate raid equipment. This is my first MMO to boot so this isn't some "WoW" baby. I'll never be good enough to raid, but raiders - especially the hardest raid - deserve the best stuff. It's a case of skill and dedication with the occasional "prodigy" doing it. Casual content grind is merely dedication which is monotonous but isn't really difficult because you aren't doing the hard stuff. Grind and waiting is not difficulty, it's monotony. No skill involved beyond "patience" which doesn't test your playing skills.

The raiders that do the hardest content in the game deserve the best gear and so do people who devote alot of time in this game. But the price for doing time is capped.

It's not that they don't deserve unique rewards, it's just that their rewards are letting them get access to stuff earlier or do the new content more efficiently than everyone else simply because they have a challenge driven mind set due to superior iLvL.

And? THEY DESERVE THAT! Get a static and be on that tier. its NOT hard. there are literally HUNDREDS of Free Companies and Linkshells Dedicated to this stuff.

Also. You gearing ESO allows you to do Savage easy which IS the highest tier. Sure when 3.2 drops and the next tier arrives they will hop right in with little issue and you require a little bit of work to continue, But thats the nature of the game, They put in the extra effort and they are rewarded. Why do they deserve to get to see content sooner than someone else? Also, if they already have a mindset to do content in a set group, wouldn't they already be capable of doing the content faster than everyone else? If so, why do they also need the higher iLvL gear than say, someone who only does normal mode? Wouldn't the higher iLvL gear just obfuscate their skill level and make them only seem like they are more skilled? Don't take this like I mean there should be no high teir rewards for the dedicated raiding type, it's just that the reward shouldn't involve full sets of increased iLvL armor, but glamours and probably a legendary item that does have a higher iLvL and unique model.

At the end of the day, being a dedicated raider doesn't make someone more of a fan Final Fantasy or FFXIV for that matter than a guy just doing crafts and story and this system punishes those who want a relaxing time and encourages hardcore grinding.

No, it doesn't make them any better than you or a bigger fan. Just organized, and they are rewarded for it.

Get over it. Get a static. Im sorry but you don't deserve that gear. And I'm sorry but if you want to be anti-social and avoid having to play with others WHY are you playing an MMO? It sounds to me like you want Final Fantasy XIV to be Guild Wars 2 which would be the biggest disaster ever because GW2 is the most boring PvE High Level MMO ever made

Gear of a higher tier needs to be in raids. and in XIV raids are EXTREMELY accessable for small numbers. Join a Free Company or a Linkshell of like minded players who want to do that content. How many times do I have to say this?

Im Casual and I raid....it's not even a timesink in XIV to raid, and thats why your complaining doesn't even make any sense. One Alex run takes less than 15min which ironically is faster than a dungeon run!

Lack of reward is not a punishment. Also, why would any game that implements a hardcore grind not encourage it? That doesn't make any sense. No one is going to grind for weeks for rewards they deem shitty.
