All gears will eventually become obsolete until they are done with Realm Reborn. >.>
Love how they keep deleting any post saying that Yoshida will be the downfall of this game. But he will be.
Welcome to MMO gaming
Pretend that Tanaka was better all you want, but there is probably a reason why XIV was a critical and commerical failure before Yoshida came along.
And even if Yoshie-P really "ruins" the game, worst case scenario: SE will remove the current dev team and give it to another one to fix things up. Again.
I really dislike the current endgame, but I have faith that most of my gripes will be dealt with in 3.1
Shouldn't have made any of Esoterics upgradable at all and you know, remove the cap so people could stop complaining.
>.< Damn.
I've stated this (what you wrote) in another thread but it was disregarded. >.> There is alot of stuff to do in this game.
Damn daily limit.
There are a lot of things Yoshida can do. Here are a few that I feel would help.Oh. You're talking about the concept in general.
Well, if you have a better idea in how to approach it, I'd be happy to hear it. I'm really not a huge fan of the style we have now anyway.
The problem is, if they make content to quick to clear, people will complain that there's nothing to do before they add the next major patch. They always have to balance what the player can achieve with how much content they can regularly put out.
*Raise the weekly cap to 500. It will take a week less than 450 cap, so still almost 3 month for a job.
*tome caps per job. This I believe would be a real solution. Before anyone says "That's not fair, then I can't gear this Job, using this Job" If you can't play the job you want to gear, then oh well. Lots of players have to queue as a DPS.
* How about Horizontal Progression? This Vertical progression has got to stop at some time. Look at all the old content that goes to waste. Why not add a new system of upgrading previous raid/tome gear? Let's have some new Tokens, bought with new Tomes or that drops from the new raid. You could get like 2, 4, 6, or w/e tokens to upgrade old gear to the current ilvl. Oh but thats right, that gear is for the Glamour system. Least then that would give players an incentive to go back and do raids and other content. I didn't even do SCoB/FCoB, don't really have a reason, don't need the Glamour.
*24 man content, story mode and a hard mode(alliance server side only). Story mode can give ilvl190 and hard mode could give ilvl210. Cause It'll be 3.2 before the ilvl cap is raised again, why not make the content worth doing. All they are going to do is add the upgrade items from Alex Savage and probably some ilvl195-200 gear.
I just really hate the way things are. I really like this game, but I don't like capping tomes and being done for the rest of the week, even if I only farm 75 a day. I Gather and Craft as well, but that gets boring after a while. Reminds me when this was a monday game and then it became a tuesday game, now its a few hours a day game. I hear Gamefly calling my name again. I honestly don't think this game can continue with its current model and stay P2P. I bet we'll have more cash shop options (legit gear/weapons) and this game will be F2P.
Not likely. They have claimed in the past that if this game was a failure, they'd just scrap it.
But I'd hardly call the game ruined for doing what they have been sense 2.0.
Just a bit of a dull endgame at the moment.
This is what a MMO is. You deal with it or you go back to what crappy game you were playing before.
