@MasterChef
Isn't comparing Hot Shot VS AA damage like comparing
151 Potency (120 * 1.2*1.05) VS 88 Potency (84 *1.05)
Which would give you your 60% difference.
Which still means that Turret Damage is kinda low
You aren't accounting for IAD2. That increases Hot Shot to a 1.26 multiplier vs 1.05 for AA's. If you do the math, with your numbers, AA's are about 84 potency.Comparing MCH damage/potency to turret damage/potency is not a correct merit for determining potency.
So that 86 potency per AA value is most likely wrong.
Hotshot - 27773 damage

AA - 17690

Excluding the 8 crits from the hotshot parse and 5 crits from AA damage to get non crit averages
Hot shot - 20701 damage:591 average
AAs - 15104 damage:359 average
AA in this case is ~60.7 % of hotshot potency making it an average of 72 potency. You'll probably get more accurate values if you draw out the parse but it's easier to exlude and manually calculate noncrit averages if you do ~50 hit parses.
The thing is, AA calculation is totally different than WS calculation.
Even if you convert it into a "theoretical potency", you won't be able to easily translate that into raw damage. So you're in a rather tricky situation.
Finally finished the guide. Feel free to critique. https://youtu.be/kNmFlIbdu2I
Thank you for taking the time to make this; I have a couple questions though:Finally finished the guide. Feel free to critique. https://youtu.be/kNmFlIbdu2I
a)in your single rotation, you mentioned that you should keep your buffs on CD, w/ the exception of prepping for a burst phase; what does that look like in practice? i.e. which buffs should be active for the 2nd/3rd wildfires?
b)Have you parsed w/ and w/o stance dancing, and if so how much of a damage difference between them?
c)what's your avg. wildfire damage, in and out of party?
d) what's your rotation look like after opener, w/ stance dancing?

when You are turning potency into Damage, You can compare AA with skills, because currently determination for AA is nerfed when turn potency into damage, just for AA.
AA have 100 potency by default every 3 seconds, (Every weapon modifies this), but right now, like I said, AA is taking less Determination than skills when turn it into Damage.
I think this answers most your questions https://youtu.be/lc5zkDgAUbw as far as buff alignments, wildfire damage and post opener.Thank you for taking the time to make this; I have a couple questions though:
