And you can hand over the infatuation of illusion goggles now. 1.0 was rushed, it had bad content. It also had more depth and soul then any modern mmo model will ever have. And the potential for expansion on the game in the old 1.0 model where far greater then any you find here now.
Yeah 1.0 had copy pasted landscape but 2.0 will forever more have copy pasted content and a meaningless world. Thank you Yoshida san for delivering on the promise of making sure to relaunch the game in the highest FF quality you can.

Shame he had to remove what little we had of elemental weakness/strenghts since it would have been too difficult for the "community" to understand.

I got the Cait Sith minion from a PC pre-order. It was also available when the game first came out, not just for PS4 launch. As a matter of fact:

If you didn't get a code, something went wrong.
If you played 1.0, you did have to pre-order a new copy of the game to get the code, I believe. At least that's what I did. I admit, that was kinda weird. Maybe there was a way around it and I just never found out?

There is a reason we are legacy we enjoy Final Fantasy with depth and substance, we supported 1.0 after its failed launch. Due to its unfinished rushed release, it had issues. But it also had alot of potential, we remain loyal to square enix and support them. We hope that someday they will provide the world with the quality it deserves, but all we have gotten so far is a game design that breeds mouthbreathers. That cant even handle the optional quests in matoya's cave because they didnt get an UI to light up and hold their hand, and they would have been forced to think but that hurts for that kind of player. So we return to waiting, because we have patience.

No in fact I was just telling the other person that looking down on people just because the weren't 1.0 players and saying that 2.0 caters to a "mouthbreather" community was a shitty attitude and then I got offtopic from that about what constitutes grind and mindnumbing grind and tried to refocus on the fact they had a shitty attitude.

I don't think I am better then legacy players but I do look down on people with a shitty attitude.

Why do most new players sound salty they missed 1.0 but are trying to hide it with the whole "it was garbage" thing to try to hide the saltiness, I bet you're the type of guy hate on new players on other games that you've been a part longer than.

I don't...what? This not only makes no sense, but the rather poor attempt at even constructing a valid counter argument at this point shows. Clearly.

Third. What do BRDs have to do with factual evidence supporting that SE was in the hole (Up to the brink of bankruptcy, part of which is due to 1.0) back in 1.0 up until after 2.0. So not only does that comparison not make any sense, (and not backed up with anything aside from poor sentence structure) but it has nothing at all to do with the "1.0 wuz betur" train that you people seem to want to ride to hell and back.

Besides. BRDs had it coming, but that is for a different thread. Mobility/Utility/decent damage do not mix. That's like MMO balancing 101. A more valid point to prove your playtime, and to note about the difference between 1.x and 2.x would be when (A small group of) WARs thought they should be using DEX instead of STR because the job was so broken. But I digress.

tl;dr: 1.x was bad, you should feel bad for wanting it back and thinking it would work. Yes I've been there. No you're wrong, the above is why. Go home and try again. It was garbage. The numbers state it was garbage. The players stated it was garbage when they left. The other nine people you waved to in the game does not save it from this fact. Anything said after the fact is just personal opinion (And a very wrong one, mind you) that has no place in a valid argument because the numbers prove otherwise. So yes, 1.x was garbage and will always be garbage.

OP: No. You don't get the gobbue. Just deal with it and ride the other one. You didn't miss much anyway.
