LOL and the combat system in this version is good? Sorry but no it's terrible old and boring, I would take the more complex system anyday as atm I am bored out of my skull with combat in this game.As a legacy player I'm glad 1.x is dead an never coming back. Even in 1.23 it was not fun to play. It was slow, plodding and terrible. I will glady take a simplified battle system that's actually fun, over the clunkiest trainwreck that took forever that was 1.anything. Go look up the fight with nael van darnus at the end of 1.23. The fight took 20 minutes (which should tell you something is wrong right there) and for like 99% of the fight it's just people stacked on top of each other slowly casting weaponskills. Boy howdy, what fun that was! It was a bad game, it was always a bad game. It got less bad as it went along but it never stopped being a bad game. Now it's dead and it's never coming back. Good riddance.
Dem animation locks and shitty spell display though.
What battle system. The game was nothing but a bunch of polygons attempting to make broken animations with spells that had broken tooltips and stats that didn't even work correctly.
"Complex", right.
I'm gonna say no. These 1.0 items should stay 1.0 exclusive.
It's a perk for paying for the game we have now.
The goobbue and back tattoo aren't 'legacy' things.. Goobbue was obtainable in 1.x even if you never get legacy status. Tattoo is something every character created in 1.x got in ARR (minus a few exceptions caused by a bug)
Also, the goobbue wasn't 'earned' so much. You talked to an NPC, you got the horn, that was just about it![]()
"Legacy" is a pretty accurate term for anything pre-2.0, especially things like the Goobbue and tattoo since SE went out of their way to say they wont be obtainable after ARR's launch. They aren't literally Legacy items like the Chocobo and you didn't need Legacy status to obtain them, but you had to be playing during the Legacy Campaign to be eligible for them. The goobbue and back tattoo aren't 'legacy' things.. With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
You apparently aren't aware that Legacy characters are different from Legacy Accounts. The goobbue and back tattoo aren't 'legacy' things.. Legacy characters are any characters made during 1.x. Legacy mounts are the Goobue and special Chocobo. And the mark on Legacy characters is called the Legacy mark.
A Legacy account is something entirely different. Those who paid for 3 months of subscription or more during a certain time period of 1.x were granted a "Legacy account" status and given lower subscription rate.
I have 2 legacy accounts, I have multiple legacy characters.. Problem is, Square has used the 'legacy' term to refer to both the official 'legacy' program (chocobo and reduced sub prices), and later also for things like the mark (hence the /legacymark command).. So, if all 1.x players are 'legacy' players, then the goobbue is a legacy mount. If however legacy players are only those with the legacy status on their account, then the goobbue is NOT a legacy mount. You apparently aren't aware that Legacy characters are different from Legacy Accounts.

Whats funny is that theres a small portion of legacy players that don't have the legacy goobue mount because they didn't speak with the npc during the 1.0 era. XD
Well, there was a level requirement to get the goobbue, and there were people who did pay for the legacy status, but never actually played the game enough to get that the level to get the Goobbue.
