    I know Savage is a different thing but the fact that they are making it different from what it was planned before means they get the message that many players disliked Alex normal loot system. In fact they are planning to change Alex normal loot as well.

    The "unfair" was about Alex story mode loot being too much based on RNG. If it was for a niche, or if there were alternatives gearing it would have been different. But it's not, it's a piece of cake raid that is connected to the story mode that gives you the ilv gear to get ready to what comes next. There's no reason to make it that stressful, there are other means to make it last longer other than locking some unlucky players back. Thanks the twelve though they listened.

    How is it different from "what was planned before"? They haven't announced specifics about the loot system before the last live letter. All they said was that we'd have a token system. There was a ton of speculation though. As far as them changing Alex normal loot, I don't think I've seen anything to that effect. Could you please provide a link?

    I don't have a link. I'm sorry. I can't even find the Q&A where they said they are planning to change Alex Normal loot anymore. But you are talking about it as well so you should know.. By the way it doesn't change the point that it seems they listened to US changing the loot system which as far as I know happened only for Ramuh Ex.

    It's a good idea to bookmark the "Forum Top" page and come in through that page each time, because the Community Rep responses are always listed to the right. Unless you're on mobile, then obviously it's different.

    Or even better, check the Dev Tracker every now and then.

    I couldn't bear to read through 17+ pages of whining about not getting handed loot. If you guys are so casual as to "not have time for a static" but "have plenty of time to play" only when it's convenient for you (since statics require compromise from all its members) then you're too casual for content to be catered to you... but here you all are crying about not getting what you want, when you want it, how you want it, for little to no effort.

    The end game is "get a static" or else you're not doing endgame. Even if you're in a partial static that has to use the PF (we've all been there, or at least most of us) that's still better than the DF (which you can't use anyway if you're doing real end game). Basically, get over yourselves. Demanding a new loot system over the old one, and then immediately bashing it because of "you-problems" is asinine.

    For something like Coil, you're right, but, if you remember, Coil wasn't doable in Duty Finder when the lockout was there, so it was designed for static parties.

    Alexander is designed to be accessible for everyone, so you can't use the "get a static" answer over and over.
    As for other content with lockout and doable in Duty Finder right at the beginning, you had Crystal Tower...where you didn't have to roll against 7 other people, since loots are tied to jobs.

    To put it simple, do it like Ravana:


    Keep the weekly limit and the drops, but, add a drop we get 100%... A token we can exchange 10 of it for any of the Alex drops, or, even, if you don't want to mess the thousand tables made for getting your full gear in weeks... Crate four types of those tokens. "Token floor 1" exchangable for pedal-bolt, chain... "token floor 2" lens... bla bla.

    So basically, if you have AWFUL BAD LUCK...The maximum runs you'll have to do is 10 per turn. A maximum of 40.... Right now the maximum of runs you may have to do if bad luck could be actually a really HIGH number if bad luck... If you have awful luck perhaps you'll have to do like around 100 runs of all the turns.

    For Alexander drops, right now, you need either a lot of time, or luck, or static, no skill needed.

    PS: I'm in the blessed group of 'static guy'. But... I can understand those who are not in one because my time is very limited, if I wouldn't be in a static I wouldn't be able to get all of the drops, perhaps not even two of those.

    super simple and super easy fix, have all the tokens drop from floors 2+ so floor 1 is the same as it is now, but floors 2 3 and 4 can drop all the remaining tokens, that way it still takes time to gear up a class fully, but with the weekly lockout it would prevent people farming like mad

    That's exactly my point. The current version of Alexander isn't even end game content... it just so happens to be at the level cap when the only other "end game" content are the two extreme primals. That's part of the reason why you can't get an i190 weapon from Alexander. You can't use the DF to jump into real end game content when it's initially released, and still can't all the way up until they echo-nerf it to allow the more casual players to experience the story aspect of the raiding. The sheer fact that Alexander can easily be cleared via the DF is another point that says this content is for those players who can't play in a dedicated and serious static party. This content was made for players just like you (OP).
