set a crossbar for aoe, crossbar for single target the rest is just muscle memory. Keep practicing until you get used to it. like they said earlier here, controller summoner is the true endgame.
First thing if you don't have expanded hold controls on (holding R2>L2 and vice versa) do it now.
This is how my crossbar is at the moment: http://imgur.com/a/cc59F
The only macros I use aside from the obvious swiftcast ones are:
Enkindle
/ac "Rouse" <me>
/ac "Spur" <me>
/ac "Enkindle" <t>
Stun
/pac "Shockwave" <t>
/pac "Crimson Cyclone" <t>
De/Buff
/pac "Contagion" <t>
/pac "Radiant Shield" <t>
AOE
/pac "Aerial Slash" <t>
/pac "Flaming Crush" <t>
Dreadwyrm Trance
/ac "Dreadwyrm Trance"
/ac "Deathflare" <t>
I know people here don't like macros but atleast they work for me.
The "bug" is not a bug, it happens with fester too if you use it with bio when nothing is up. Usually you have to wait a half a second for the buffs to apply and this happens if you queue bane after 3D, or contagion. I thought this was something people knew about summoner from ARR? If you use bane too soon after bio you'd lose bio... The same thing is happening here with contagion and TD >.>;

I didn't think of making a separate crosshotbar, thanks! I'm sure I'll get used to it soon it's just annoying for the time being losing dps because I have to mess w hotbars
im only hitting 700-740 on a training dummy as a smn in i155 (i160 wep)
it feels low
i know i need to work on using ruin 2 for things like off gcd's and auto attacks but after my opener (double trance) i get a bit lost
i understand the basics of longest to shortest dots but i feel like im either reapplying too often or not enough
im going with ifrit egi which i know i less dps on a dummy but for the current endgame (biscuck and ravana) they have sections with a good amount of cleave so ive been trying to get down playing with him
any tips? ive looked through the most recent video posted in the thread a few pages back (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0kNMmyMEZ8) but it heavily relies on contagion+3d in trance
after opening, should i just stick with casting bio 2 and miasma twice every minute (once with 3d in trance, once other without) and three times with bio (once with 3d, twice without)?
See this is why I didn't think it was a bug like I already said before (the reason I didn't report it). Timing wise, it's a lil tighter then what was happening with ARR, because with Bio in ARR, you shot that Fester before you even saw Bio confirmed on the target. This time around, you can actually see the DoTs present on the mob before these skills even go on CD.The "bug" is not a bug, it happens with fester too if you use it with bio when nothing is up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0kNMmyMEZ8 : Look at 0:21 seconds on this. That Fester got full credit and was fired off immediately.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChpV...ature=youtu.be : Then Look at 0:06 seconds on this.
Slow both videos down to x.25 speed. You will clearly see the DoTs were all present before these skills even went on cd.
I just hate the inconsistency of it to an extent. After testing this out a bit what I can confirm, is that you basically don't want to mash Fester, or Bane but simply press the skill key to queue it and even though it executes fast it will work fine. What's weird is sometimes it confirms it and sometimes it doesn't and it's largely dependent on how fast the animation executes the next ability. If you have slight lag, you probably won't run into this issue ever. If you have super good net / fps though, probably will from time to time.
Its really good on Ravana actually; if you know when the cleaves come you get 50 potency x 8 each time. its amazing. This is actually not a particularly strong spot to use Radiant by default because bosses don't AA during tank busters. Then again, bosses don't auto during mechanics so there can be a lot of bad spots to do it.
I use Radiant on pull no matter what because it'd scale off FoF/Berserk and put it on CD. Otherwise used when it's off CD and it will live out most of its duration, otherwise better to keep it for the next phase/pull/whatever.
*edit
every second one, i forgot cooldowns are a thing rofl
