I'm interested in hearing his opinion on The Last of Us, actually.
In those games, you're playing a character with an established appearance. Here, you're playing a character with a fill-in-the-black appearance. There's a big difference.

I'm a "minicon" who love and adore a small and cute things.
that is incorrect, you are an established character. you are playing through the story to see it. if you weren't you would not be forced through the story to progress.
Yet as someone who checks Rule 34 (Don't care) I've seen my fair share of "established characters" in provocative positions. The main argument I see from a lot of people is that it's going to promote creepy people but they are already here. Hell, I had a whisper my first month playing from a Roe asking "Would you like to see your belly bulge?" I just find it funny, personally as for child like race I am going to look at them the same way I see Lalafells, adorable. Yes I get creepy or weird PMs but that's what the blacklist is for. Don't like the way someone is talking or acting with their race, block em or report them if they are being bad enough. Besides, if the creepy people are only joining cus of the new race, do you really expect them to play and get up the Heavensward expansion just cus of a sick enjoyment?
To put it bluntly, those people are their own problem.
Take a moment to think about the absurdity of peoples' minds going into the gutter as soon as a playable childlike race appears, even when they're treated exactly the same as every other race in-universe. Whose fault is it that their minds are going into the gutter? Certainly not the design of the race, nor Square Enix.
Let's not forget that people can already be dirty and creepy with the existing palette of races. Case in point. If you hardly ever see people being dirty with scantily-clad catgirls being available, what in the world convinces you that there would be such a large number of new, dirtier-minded players just because of the addition of a race that fills the niche between Miqo'te and Lalafell?
It's not Square Enix's job to coddle people because a few players like to do things that make others uncomfortable. They can sell to whoever is willing to pay money to play their game, and if that means catering to underserved niches, then that's what they're going to do. Period.
Two words:
Bravely Default.
You've already lost.

I don't think you comprehended.
A gun fanatic or arsonist can't cause any harm in the game. The best they could do is spout their propoganda, but you can blacklist them. A pedophile with the ability to create a child character can, by simply doing what I said. Others are forced to see his disgusting habits. Blacklisting doesn't make someone disappear.
Gun fanatics don't kill people.
Psychopaths with destructive tendencies do. Regardless of the tools.
Not much better, but there's is censorship in certain regions:
As far as I know, the Tera's Elin are also specifically censored eventhough the "humans" of that get aren't censored to the degree as the Elin are.
