Meditation delays my rotation by 1,5 seconds each time or did I get this wrong?
Yes it will delay it by 1.5 seconds. so pretty in a standard 123 rotation. 1(med) 2(med) 3(med) 1(med) 2(med) 3/FC being weave. So for 7.5 sec of not attacking I wonder if this is even worth it. Sure it 5sec cool down on FC but the problem is using meditate. This is garbage. Lov the mnk always have been since the release of ARR but this is garbage.

by that i mean, you'll go like 123 45 fracture 6, so that you don't clip demolsih
instead of a fracture for a dragon kick or a twin snakes ( it's TECHNICALLY a damage loss to refresh them at 4 seconds, but sometimes you have to) you'll do a chakra to delay the GCD a bit to refresh them at 1 or 0.
Reason for it being a loss is you're basically doing your lowest potency attacks more often if you clip at 4, rather than at 0. Obviously a 0 second clip is better in this case. so Chakra will be really good for that.
Also, I think it will be worth it, and depending on the fights for Alexander ther might be more disconnects than we think (which will make it quick strong).
Also, if it's too weak SE might just take it off of the gcd.
If it is unaffected by GL speed increase and SS then it's not going to see too much use. It does seem odd that Elixir Field is the only real thing being added to the rotation compared to the other two melee. Right now our changes really revolve around things to do during downtime.
So far I'm looking at it like Odowla is. I think can be a filler move. So we can fit 7 GCDs between refreshes of DK/Twin. Sometimes we don't have anything to use if ToD and Fracture are up. So you'd still gain stacks just at a slow pace. Then you get additional stacks for mechanics where you can't attack or phase downtime. I'm trying to think about it positively until I get my hands on it and can determine if it's no good or not.
Edit - Daily post limits are stupid. I agree that they are addressing our biggest problem, Odowla. I think everyone was looking forward to the changes in rotation that are typical of an MMO expansion, and Monk doesn't appear to be changing much. Time will tell though.

To be fair that's monk's weakness. You restart after downtime with 0 stacks and basically 0 damage. i can see it being used as filler, but with +3 seconds on demolish seemingly solving a lot of demolish rotation problems where it drops off, is it going to have much of a use?
though if its affected by haste and skillspeed, it'd scale quite well i think. like if your regular gcd was 2.0 with GL3 and skill speed, and meditation was 1.0s GCD (so basically -0.5s on both), you could fit in 2 chakras for every GCD, or effectively a flexible filler that does 64 potency (320/5=64) on a 1s GCD to smooth out your rotation. if you use 2 chakras, it's the equivalent of doing a 128 potency gcd attack; it's lower than average, but if can smooth out your rotation and dot rotations, it can lead to a dps increase probably?
