I did play FFARR 2 years ago but i am pretty new still too this game.

My first few dungeon runs where pretty fun and few guys where helpfull to point out certain things and i kinda understood what to do as a healer, positioning was a issue sometimes but i take the critiue thrown at me and try to adjust my movesets if they explain how or told me.

Then i arrived at Garuda hard mode and boy no explaination about the new mechanic.. i was a doofus though cause when i was casting i forgot about the first straight shot attack from garuda and was just too late behind the stone but i survived and healed my self only later to find out about garuda's new mechanic and got one shotted by a huge tornado. party did hold on very well against garuda still till they finaly wiped.

I don't know why but in the middle of a casting i was doing for the second attempt at garuda i forgot the straight shot a second time! I am not gonna make excuses and say that i was just stupid and died, and ofcourse i get told i am a noob by some guy but the other healer revived me afterwards i try to make up for my stupidy by casting my healing spells and medica 2 ect. but while i avoided the huge tornado this time and when i try to get in the eye of the storm i get one shotted by a feather of some sorts.

But in all fairness i know now where i should be focusing on next time and i did learn the positioning now. But i can understand that some people badmouth new players yet if some would just explain some of the mechanic's before hand it also gives me as a newby better confidence.

I just help one of my friends clear T13 yesterday, I'm just done with my T13 at saturday night DF alone.
She send me a tell asking how to complete it after getting few kick, I ask her for pt then we q together.
I explain to her slowly from phase 1 to phase 4 and ask her to watch others when she die.
What I tell her is "We come here to learn and go to hell with them bwahahahahaha"

We doing it from 4pm to 10 pm and we success with so many kicks, abandon, screw-up & cutscene troll.
She complete it successfully with her own effort, and we're do the cutscene marathon in the inn.
I decided to stick with her because I know the feeling when nobody want to help you because you're new.
Accomplish something by struggling alone is not that good and it felt suck.

Well I find 1 potential candidate for my static Alexander Raid, looking forward to be the first who beat that.

Honestly, it seems like you never bothered asking, and just assumed that they'd tell you from the get go.

Why not watch a youtube video before-hand?

This is one of the situations when neither side is completely wrong.

I personally hate rage quitting and look down on people who do so. Some of my best dungeon experiences came from sticking with newbies.
Like when I coordinated a group of first timers to beat story titan.
Or when I healed Aurum Vale with both the tank and one of the dps was a first timer.
Or when the tank ragequitted over the performance of a fresh monk girl. The other DPS told me that we should abandon. I said, no, eff it. We are doing it. And we did it.

That being said, there really are new players who need professional medical help. When no amount of ignored adivce can save the undergeared level 49 conjurer (!!!!!) there is nothing to be done but leave. And, as it has been mentioned, new players tend to not tell you that they are new and most definitely don't ask for help.
The tank I mentioned above did ask for it. Then again, she was a very competent tank, with no knowledge of the specific dungeon.

If you enter the fight and expect ppl to you explain the whole fight, please don't get upset when ppl are upset at you. You need to get the basic down before expect other ppl to help you further

I can barely be bother trying to offer constructive criticism to people any more. Bad players who don't even know enough to realise they're bad never respond well to criticism, and the bad players who know they're bad are either just lazy or completely indifferent to it. It's more stress than it's worth trying to teach people who don't want to learn, I'll just suck it up and deal with them, and if they're so irredeemably bad that they're an impediment to the group I'd rather just bounce and re-queue than have to deal with their crap. Harsh, maybe, but I don't play this game to babysit people who can't be bothered spending the ten minutes it'd take them to find out how to play their class even remotely competently.

I find it most satisfying when I can help a player, who is new to the instance, through it. It's exhilarating and makes me feel so proud *sniffles*

I personally don't mind new players in the dungeons at all but there is always couple of those bad apples on both sides one good example is Steps of Faith still majority of people rage quit right at the beginning even after the nerf or after 1 wipe because new players didn't know how to use snares or something like that as for new players watching cut scenes I don't really mind it I was one of those players when I first started

Problem is the game itself I think. Its almost like road rage. For some people, once they get into that car they turn into a different person. This game has you run instances over and over and over again. It has turned many a good people into zombies, it is unfortunate really. I haven't had any really bad experiences, but I do watch to see what others are saying to people especially in the 8 man content, and it can be rough.

Garuda is considered ancient content, maybe even before the dinosaurs. As soon as that gate drops its on. Even if someone says they are new, 98% of the time nothing else is said, 1% of the time its "dodge stuff", and the other 1% is "don't die". Most of the time I go into a new instance for the first time I'll use the PF. It never fills up but if I get one person who atleast has done it before I'll talk with them before launching it. Everyone I have had join has always been very helpful. Also talking outside the instance is alot easier.

Now I'm not one to tell people watch a video or read a guide, but they do exist, and while it really has no value as to what will go down, you would atleast know of a new mechanic or positional that will help.

You are both right about i could have been watching a guide or video and yes i agree i was at fault aswell. Yet it can be very different depending on the party like if i did watch a video that shows me their party position and it doesn't actualy happen in the current party i join and just do something different i gotta learn to adjust to them instead.
