Look, I appreciate numbers, but I just don't want it becoming the newest rage to wall off and shame people.
Why does everything have to be so negative? Why do you look on the downside? There are plenty of positives that come from a parser and personally I think it would increase the average skill level in the game by far as people would have some sort of clue as to what they are pulling numbers wise.
Of course some people are going to use it to point the finger at others but they already do that. At least with a parser you can actually see if they are lying, or if they are actually right and you are pulling low DPS, even if they are going the wrong way about telling you and you can then go improve. Or if you don't care for end game raids don't go and improve and stick with the content where your DPS doesnt really matter.

Let's watch everyone make assumptions about things we know nothing about when it clearly serves its purpose in other games. Disregarding evidence, personal feelings first of course. That is what this forum is about, rite?




Not surprising. In XIV open talk (i.e outside friends, guilds, statics) of using parsers and parsing of other players can land you in trouble with GMs. In games where their use is open and allowed it's common practice.
