Hmmm. Going to say no it's not harming endgame. I personally would never buy a clear nor would I ever sell one. But I believe that every person has a right to exchange and to pursue their own interests in that exchange.

Not just from the extra gil being injected into the community, but due to them buying gil and keeping a market in game for gil sellers, it affects everyones experience. Because of them new players are getting numerous gil seller tells before they even get out of the starter cutscenes. Such a nice impression to give to new players, Gil spam in the first minute.

Not to mention these numerous clear selling advertisements are clogging up the pf along with generally uninviting pf parties. This is hardly the image you want to show people of endgame or the community.

All you're really saying is "RMT is annoying me with the advertising". You're also arguing that it's kill sellers that are the primary driver of RMT. This is completely ignorant. You're ignoring materia costs and crafted item costs. 1 Zodiac will set a player back 3-8million, if they use grade IV materia. T9 runs cost approx 2million on Odin, that's 1-3 runs you could get for the cost of some Zodiacs. Then there is the housing and the crafted items, that's a major driver in RMT too. You've not once commented on how that harms the community as a whole, but are placing the blame solely on kill sellers. I am a occasional kill seller, and know players that have bought too, and at least half of sells or more, from my experience, are not for 1st time clears, they are also done with gil earned in a legitimate way. All you're doing is looking for a scapegoat and kill sellers are your target.

Learn to read what's actually there, not what you imagine. OP wasnt talking about price of meteria or housing or whatever. He was talking explicitly about content sellers. Thus my reply. I did not say only content sellers promote gil buying so your horse, its too high, climb off it.

Many of those who buy kills do so because they are lazy, do you think they will magically become unlazy to farm Gil to pay for that kill? Also I HAVE spoken with kill sellers and they have told me some times they had to wait on the Buyer "to buy more Gil". Content sellers didnt turn around and say "Oh no! not touching that gil" they happily took it. I also know of some who sold a FCOB clear for 120 million while it was on lockout, one of their static played the buyers account to get the clears and drops.

Gil sellers are infesting FFXIV, just read the posts about them. Why do they exist? Because lazy players are buying gil, and why are they buying Gil? One reason is to pay the millions charged for clears.
