    The same thing happened with The Chrysalis and Ramuh. Trying to PF Ramuh story mode after day 1 was next to impossible.
    People would just withdraw as soon as it started because they weren't up to it, I suppose.

    Why did people quit on Ramuh? The story mode version is so easy and has simple mechanics.

    Simple. Add phase starts, DPS get charmed and not broken out then enrage occurs due to lack of DPS. This actually still happens to this day too, just not as common.
