    Still, if you want to suggest a carrot rather than a stick, I'm game. But if we go carrot, they'll have to do more than pump up the tomestone reward. After all, if we keep failing all the way to the end, it doesn't matter how fat the carrot is, we're not getting it. There would need to be incentive for sticking it out even if the trial fails.

    I talked about it in another thread, on the topic of Coil Roulette and Expert Trial Roulette (which would include things like Ex Primals, Odin, and Ultima Hard). For many of these, going in with a pug means that you're pretty much expecting to fail. So, there needs to be a reward for TRYING, rather than for SUCCEEDING. Perhaps a reward that gets larger and larger the longer you stay in the instance - you get the full reward if you actually win, but even if you don't win you still get a reward based on how long you stuck it out, with the full reward still being given if you time out of the instance.

    And yes, I'm in full agreement that SoF needs some kind of Reset option.

    This is a trial, dps queue times aren't several times that of a tank. They are very close, and dps has shorter queue at times.

    I like to take the 30mins lockout penalty too!
    Steps of Fate is on my black list no1! That fight is way to long, difficult and also NO treasure chest(s) as reward! <,<
    So why wasting time and effort on that fight? Even If some1 say what to do, people dont listen... -> so I leave and dont get frustrated.
    I finished this fight 2x for my chars there story quests and thats more than enough.

    Also on my black list: that Dark hooded guy

    Blame not the players for leaving very hard runs that dont even give treasure chests - rewards.

    We get on HM Primals 10% echo boosts, and they are easyer...
    Why no echo boosts on those lv90 -story(!!)- fights?
