I love this thread cause it really points out how small the vocal minority of "hardcore" players there actually are. Do you think that even doubling this content will raise that number? Doubt it. Even if it did, that 2 or 4% will still complain its not hard enough and there's nothing to do.

    Also This.

Nope. 2-3% is the percentage of people that completed final coil. Like I said, that percentage does not reflect the proportion of the population that are currently progressing or trying. Furthermore, that percentage includes stuff like inactive accounts and the seemingly endless amounts of RMT accounts added to each server consistently. I'm not saying that people interested in raid are the majority but you are severely downplaying it.

Also, that 2-3% becomes 12-15% on JP servers: a significant portion of SE's target market.

Let's say for every 1 person that's cleared all of final coil, there's maybe 5 that are interested in raid and trying to progress. That number could be higher or lower but I'll just go with that arbitrary number for the sake of making a point. That makes 10-15% of the population that are working on coil. Add the 2-3% to that and you can have up to 18%: a number that probably more realistically portrays how many people are actually working on raid content. And that number is probably significantly higher on JP servers too.

Then you can include me in those numbers. I've been here since 1.0 and I really want to see the story in Coil but the biggest obstacle I face is the players themselves and the unwillingness to assist someone who has not already done it. I'm in the position that If I havent done it, no one will take me with, but I cant do it until someone takes me with. I cant start a PF learning group, no one joins after several house of wasted time.

(sorry, quoting myself with the bits I felt were important)

that goes to say we arent looking to get rid of the Coil or Alexander (HM) but it would be mostly wasted resources to add more of this type of content in. There are also the EX primals that I dont think were included in these numbers. I would be willing to bet those numbers are higher. Maybe we/they should look at those numbers too and see what the difference is? Why does one succeed and not the other? Can we replicate it and expand on it? Make it better?

Just need to ask better questions.

I completely agree with you. Content is not the problem, its the community.
Which brings me back to the actual point I was making before getting pulled off topic by comments that were tertiary to my main point and echo'ed by many other people here. Its the mentality of the players who do this content that is harming the content itself. I'm excited for Alexander because it will have two modes, while the second will be harder at least you can kinda practice on the normal mode. Hopefully this will set it up for more people to be interested in the hardcore endgame stuff and feel confident enough to even try.
