Careful, that seems like fighting words to some people on the forum.
Doing things as intended = "omg I can't minmax damage", or "omg this is tortuously slow"
That's the sign of a bad tank, and if they're going to do that, let them die. For example (these are from frames from a streaming video taken during the first time I played the dungeons):
AK Hard - Sometimes parties wipe here because the tank runs too far ahead, and the Demonic Rose hits the tank or the healer with debuffs. Better to pull the mobs off the vine path, because fighting on the path has less area to dodge the AOE if the tank or DPS fails to stun it.
WP Hard - As soon as the tank turns this corner, I can't heal them. It's better to kill the mobs before going down.
There's also some stretches of the Lost City of Amdapor and Pharos Sirius that the Tank can easily get lost behind obstructions in trying to speedpull. In particular that first stretch in Pharos Sirius, I've had tanks wipe right outside the door because they pull the entire set of mobs from the entrance to it, but because there is that large obstruction right before the door, you can't heal them until you're past it, which is usually too late.
If a tank takes off without waiting for stoneskin, they are playing bad. SS is what gives tanks that extra 10-15 seconds they need for the healer to catch up and cast since healers have to stop moving to cast, and can't cast before the tank stops.
"Cause it's the internet, land of the mean entitled asshats who complain about stuff I like"
Hey there's at least one one forumer who has attacked me in two different threads, and two people who seem incessant on replying to everything I post with an air of superiority because they think I'm an idiot. People shouldn't need a thick skin to interact with people online, but the expectation is that everyone is going to be mean, so you put on your mean face and assume everyone who doesn't agree with you is probably a NEET.
