-That moment when the tank DOESNT decide to speed run and healer/dps goes to mass pull for them only to see that benediction fails or lustrates arent enough.-

OT: This is probably bad but depending on dungeon, I have like a "base" HP/Gear to go off of to decide if a speedrun is possible. FE. If we are in Snowcloack and I see if any of the other three are below a certain amount of HP (Healers below 4.8khp or dps is below 5k hp in this case) for their class than its a No-Go. Job also comes into play. Do a pull and see how quick they can down the firs big pull. if too slow, might not be worth it.

I just wish some of the tanks that do the pull everything up to the first lockout point would check to see what their party make up is. I don't really feel like it's a speed run when I have two melees in the group, heck even summoners. The AoE moves on these jobs take a lot of TP and hit for very little. With summoners bane only spreads to 3 other mobs. Even with Shadow Flare and Miasma 2 the dot only ticks for like 150. I feel like it takes longer when you pull all these mobs then if you fought it group by group. Not to mention the strain it puts on the healers. The fights are super drawn out. Then if you wipe it takes that much more time. And if you only killed 3 of the 12 mobs you have to start all over again. Which isn't making for a very speedy run.

This thread.... serious XD. Complaining about speedruns and people not waiting for a protect buff or stoneskin. Come on. If you people are complaining about all this now then you most likely weren't around when actual speedruns were a thing. I'm talking about Castrum speedruns and AK Normal mode speed runs, hell even Praetorium where you'd pull everything and pray to god that you could click the terminal before getting wacked to death by 50 or so adds you picked up along the way.

What you're describing are people who are comfortable with their gear, their ability to do their CD rotation properly, and trust in their healer.

Oh good lord they didn't say hello to you in the chat. End. Of. The. World. Come on man, you're really getting upset because no one says hello to you? Oh look the 3 other people are ps3/ps4 players and really don't want to take the time to type out with the PlayStation controller hello to feed your need for recognition in a dungeon. You're being too needy honestly. If I'm on my pally, SS and Protect myself and off I go. I don't wait for people like you sorry If i was there to make friend in the dungeon, I would use the party finder. In DF, I'm likely never going to see you again.

Okay, so it's just another thread complaining about a bad type of player. They exist, let's get over it. Refusing to heal due to a tank running away before buffs is silly to me. What sense does it make to combat bad game play with more bad game play? I main scholar and on the rare occasion I'm on a truly terrible team I'd rather just leave then stand there and let people die to teach them a lesson.

I'm going off on a limb here, but I do believe that with OP refusing to heal the players and intentionally causing wipes is in fact griefing the group which goes against the ToS (maybe not ToS but I know its reportable and punishable from what I've read). So what OP is doing by healing is actually worse then what the other people in the group are doing.

I love those tanks that do a mass pull of everything when the dps are a mnk and a nin. That is a dead flag right there

I'm not a big fan of "Educational" non-healing, but the GMs treat that sort of thing as a "difference in play style" and it's probably not going to go anywhere in a complaint. Especially when there are completely legitimate reasons for a healer to de-prioritize healing someone, even a tank.

I've had the healer I run with stop healing the tank and focus on the dps and herself in runs before when the tank wasn't holding threat, was standing in things, and wasn't popping CDs to mitigate damage. It's rare, but it happens.

I'm not watching cut-scenes only my first time I do(no more), for the most part these are runs I know like the back of my hand. Someone else is watching the cutscenes. This is about rude people who decide for themselves the pace of the run, they don't respond to party chat and then get mad and choose to insult if the group wipes when it is their fault. It is admittedly a small percent of the game's population, but i am getting the point where if everyone else is still standing at the entrance and you're gone and have said nothing...your on your own. Kick me, Report me do whatever you gotta do.

Every time I come to the forum and see a thread with a title indicating a tale of woe, I jump straight in expecting to find a player was verbally abused, suffered because of their gender or race or sexuality or fetish, but what I find is time after time, another trivial thread because someone online thinks everyone else should conform to their sense of etiquette (or netiquette). You're online, complaining that another player hasn't said hello to you, or asked about your preferred amount of mobs pulled at a time? I suppose you also expect everyone irl to say hello to you too? Boy, I'd sure hate to be sat next to you on a train for any length of time, trying to force me to engage in a conversation. The thing is, you've done nothing to try putting yourself in anyone else's shoes, stop being so self-absorbed and think for just a moment: Are they on a PS3/PS4 without a keyboard? Are they limited for time? Are they actually a young player who's parents have turned off chat so they can play the game, without being able to talk to strangers? Is the person on the phone whilst playing and playing on auto-pilot, not paying attention to chat? Have they just found their cat has died and just don't feel like talking and want to play on auto-pilot? Or maybe: Do they just not care to talk to me? It doesn't really matter what the reason is, it's nothing to start a new forum thread over, because you can't stand others not conforming to your ideologies.
