    Don't get me wrong either...you may not believe it but I am not a scrub, I know I can play. i can heal a speed run quite well, as a matter of fact when playing with good players I get compliments for making it faster. Running off, without a pause, never considering the MP or TP of your group members causing wipes makes the run go SLOWER. A pause here and there, some situational awareness to realize that your group is spread chasing is not optimal for what you are trying to acomplish, click of a regen if before you start pulling again if you can't wait 5 seconds because all the mobs will be on me if you don't.

    Besides that, we are real people, why can't we just say hello to one another and communicate for 30 secs? Why do people have sprint off the moment they can?

    Why must they say hello or hang out with you for 3 more mins while you finish your hulu show? People join for their own reasons, most of these reasons are enablers for another task: soldiery farming, zodiac drops, etc. Efficiency then becomes the main motivator, as completion of the dungeon is not the end of the task, merely the step.

    Honestly, if you want to change behavior you have to understand what is enforcing the behavior. Grinding is enforcing this behavior. You cannot change the stimuli, thus you cannot change the root of the behavior.

    Trying to do it will just frustrate you. And it will only aleniate the community from each other, like how this topic never fails to polarize the community almost as bad as political affiliation.

    So compromise. There will be groups more reasonable to your pleas than others. Enjoy them. Truly. But there will also be others that will stress you. And in those I refer you back to trying to create constructive or positive change.

    This thread.... serious XD. Complaining about speedruns and people not waiting for a protect buff or stoneskin. Come on. If you people are complaining about all this now then you most likely weren't around when actual speedruns were a thing. I'm talking about Castrum speedruns and AK Normal mode speed runs, hell even Praetorium where you'd pull everything and pray to god that you could click the terminal before getting wacked to death by 50 or so adds you picked up along the way.

    What you're describing are people who are comfortable with their gear, their ability to do their CD rotation properly, and trust in their healer.

    Oh good lord they didn't say hello to you in the chat. End. Of. The. World. Come on man, you're really getting upset because no one says hello to you? Oh look the 3 other people are ps3/ps4 players and really don't want to take the time to type out with the PlayStation controller hello to feed your need for recognition in a dungeon. You're being too needy honestly. If I'm on my pally, SS and Protect myself and off I go. I don't wait for people like you sorry If i was there to make friend in the dungeon, I would use the party finder. In DF, I'm likely never going to see you again.

    Okay, so it's just another thread complaining about a bad type of player. They exist, let's get over it. Refusing to heal due to a tank running away before buffs is silly to me. What sense does it make to combat bad game play with more bad game play? I main scholar and on the rare occasion I'm on a truly terrible team I'd rather just leave then stand there and let people die to teach them a lesson.

    I'm going off on a limb here, but I do believe that with OP refusing to heal the players and intentionally causing wipes is in fact griefing the group which goes against the ToS (maybe not ToS but I know its reportable and punishable from what I've read). So what OP is doing by healing is actually worse then what the other people in the group are doing.

    I love those tanks that do a mass pull of everything when the dps are a mnk and a nin. That is a dead flag right there

    I'm not watching cut-scenes only my first time I do(no more), for the most part these are runs I know like the back of my hand. Someone else is watching the cutscenes. This is about rude people who decide for themselves the pace of the run, they don't respond to party chat and then get mad and choose to insult if the group wipes when it is their fault. It is admittedly a small percent of the game's population, but i am getting the point where if everyone else is still standing at the entrance and you're gone and have said nothing...your on your own. Kick me, Report me do whatever you gotta do.

    Every time I come to the forum and see a thread with a title indicating a tale of woe, I jump straight in expecting to find a player was verbally abused, suffered because of their gender or race or sexuality or fetish, but what I find is time after time, another trivial thread because someone online thinks everyone else should conform to their sense of etiquette (or netiquette). You're online, complaining that another player hasn't said hello to you, or asked about your preferred amount of mobs pulled at a time? I suppose you also expect everyone irl to say hello to you too? Boy, I'd sure hate to be sat next to you on a train for any length of time, trying to force me to engage in a conversation. The thing is, you've done nothing to try putting yourself in anyone else's shoes, stop being so self-absorbed and think for just a moment: Are they on a PS3/PS4 without a keyboard? Are they limited for time? Are they actually a young player who's parents have turned off chat so they can play the game, without being able to talk to strangers? Is the person on the phone whilst playing and playing on auto-pilot, not paying attention to chat? Have they just found their cat has died and just don't feel like talking and want to play on auto-pilot? Or maybe: Do they just not care to talk to me? It doesn't really matter what the reason is, it's nothing to start a new forum thread over, because you can't stand others not conforming to your ideologies.

    Doesn't really need to be any more complicated than that.
    As a Tank, it was pretty easy to start the match and say, "Are you comfortable with me pulling the zone?" We institutionalized a small flow-chart as suggested by Gramul;

    "Hello! Are you comfortable with me pulling heavy?"

    Yes: Pull zone!
    No: Fight each monster pack separately.

    There have been situations where the healer has overestimated their healing power, and we reevaluate the situation after a pull if it resulted in a wipe. I agree wholeheartedly with Gramul, though: No need to complicate it.
