There seems to be no speed run etiquette. It would be polite, if you want to do anything other than a full run normal clear. IE do the instance as it was intended, 1 group at a time all mobs ect. If you want to skip mobs, pull multiple groups it would be nice if you would speak and express your desire. I find it annoying that as soon people are able to leave the ring, even if it is your first time in the instance, you are watching the cutscene, and people leave without even saying Hi. I am the healer and I am chasing them, I have to sprint to keep up. I can handle it almost all the time, I'm good, I know I am. I even Holy the hell out of stuff and help them go faster once I assess the play and gear of the group. They don't watch chat if I say I need MP, they don't watch my MP. My daughter can need me for something and I say after this pull I need 1 min AFK. They just keep going.
I know I can teach them manners and let the fools die and sometimes I do. I just do not understand why at the start we can't communicate. Greet each other, give others some expectations for the run. If you just hate people and refuse to communicate, how about just take the first pull normal and analyze your group, crush it, try two groups pull next one. Know what you have before you run off like a maniac.
I don't want to wipe a group just to teach the inconsiderate and stupid a lesson but I'm getting close to adopting that philosophy. That said there are groups out there that can do things just fine without saying a word. You slowly ramp up the speed, you pause when my MP is low. You make sure the group is together, you got it all under control. I am not speaking to you, you are a pleasure to be with. I am talking about the people who run off before you are ready, get killed and insult you because they died.
