You managed to make one dupe realize that he had been duped, but that does not change that the Monatarists have compromised the Sultansworn and already have things that allow them to manipulate the Paladins.

A low level questline in Horizon makes it obvious that this is the Monatarists' standard and well practiced operating procedure: The stunt that they pulled on the Crystal Braves is identical to the stunt they've already pulled on the Sultansworn and the Brass Blades.

That is just how pervasive the Monatarists are. There is no group in Ul'dah that is outside their influence right now. Even the Immortal Flames have Monatarist agents secretly among them. That's why Ilberd's betrayal was so influential: Raubahn's old friend, the man they trust to be outside the Monatarist influence, was their agent.
