Noelzzz, with that though, how do you explain the Dark Knight, Machinist, and Astrologian jobs, we never go through the same 'trial' with those, and frankly I'm surprised that classes are not being abolished once 3.0 comes out, the guilds can remain intact as they are, but by separating us from what the NPCs in the game are makes the Warrior of Light seem all the much more needed in this world.

Also I feel that in this restructure (hypothetical of course) they would separate Summoner and Scholar, just give scholar the only real exclusive ability that summoner has (Fester) and rework Summoner from the ground up to include all their egis (Ifrit/Titan/Garuda/Levi/Shiva/Ramuh/Bismark/that insect thing/King Mogg?) Let the summon itself be a magic damage dealer with the egi's offering support in various ways.

Ifrit - melee dmg + melee buffs
Titan - defensive buffs + high melee def
Garuda - ranged melee dmg + high eva
Leviathan - dot dmg + status removal/prevention
Shiva - melee magic dmg + magic buffs
Ramuh - ranged magic dmg + high magic def
Bismark - healing dots + high HP
insect thing - ??? + ???
King Mogg - AoE buffs + AoE debuffs?

Not really sure about the insect and Mogg... Now the summoner would be the main focus of the job's damage output (75%) but combined with the right summon you can deal more dmg or provide a little extra support (it would still be a DPS class if a dps summon is out it should be on par with Ninja's DPS) the summon itself would obviously provide 25% of the dmg, so if you choose a summon that isn't a dps then it would be like having a quarter of a healer supporting (so nothing that would make it broken but enough to make it worth while in certain situations). Also they should get an ability along the lines of a "Quick Swap" that let's you switch Summons without consuming MP or casting time, and have it let's say on a 1min cooldown. The way it would work it that you use Quick Swap and insta-summon a new summon, you can even add an ability "Swap Back" that will resummon the last summoned Egi. For example I summon Ifrit > Quick Swap > Bismark (for that regen) > Swap Back > Ifrit returns. Swap Back can only be used after Quick Swap is used (like a combo) and it must be used within 1 minute of Quick Swap.
