OMG why people focus on Coil T5 T9 T13 I never said anything about Coils!

Why can't some people understand that what I'm saying is, unless something is really f.ked up by the development team, it should not get nerfed because of low skilled lazy players whineing!

I and many others were able to get better at it by practice, but lazy players want to get everything handed to them fast and easy, it's soo pathetic!
...and whats even more pathetic is people who try to explain their lazyness and argue with me! (and many of us who like FFXIV as it is!!)
People like me will protect FFXIV from lazy players silly wishes of nerfing everything instantly cause they are too lazy to play the game and get better at it!

Because it's unbalanced. Sure, anyone can WIN, but there are a number of scenarios within the system where victory is flatout impossible. Since NPCs have a fixed number of maybe 7 cards and players only get "stronger" by collecting more cards, in addition to the overall random nature of NPCs in the first place, the rules "Order", "Chaos", and "Random" make no difference to the NPC but can cripple the player, ESPECIALLY the last one.
In addition there are a few NPCs whose difficulty isn't in sync with the MGP they award, especially any of the aforementioned Random using NPCs who pay out less than 100 MGP yet have basically the same cards as Rowena.
The mentality is the same as raiding, actually: "If victory is impossible for X level of player with Y set-up, then it needs to be changed"
I'm positive most of the NPCs will be unchanged, but there WILL be some that are either given a larger pool of cards, or have stronger cards replaced with weaker ones in order to keep their difficulty in line with their actual payout.
For example, Landenel will probably have Bahamut replaced with a 4 or 3 star card to keep him in line difficulty-wise with other NPCs that yield 53 on victory. My reasoning? Sezul Tuloc has the same payout but has 2 4 star cards, while Landenel not only has a more difficult ruleset to manage, but has a 5 star and a 4 star card.

Sorry, you kind of killed any credibility when you cited laziness as a reason for Triple Triad being difficult.

It's unlikely that every NPC will get the nerf bat, but it's a simple fact that many of them will crush players because they don't play by normal rules. Unlimited rare cards and limited decks means that anyone with the 'random' rule will still have a fearsome deck while you're stuck with mere 1-star weaklings. The more cards you own, the more watered down your selection becomes, but theirs remains steadfastly tough regardless.

The end result is it's down to luck rather than skill as to whether you win. You have to hope the computer makes a silly mistake to even stand a chance or pray that only your good cards come up. Feel free to check my lodestone, I've beaten every NPC in the game and I'm quite happy with my achievements. That doesn't change the fact that they're unfair opponents and that luck has no place in a game of skill.

Let's make it a skill based game instead of a frustrating grind.

Omg. This is a Triple Triad thread now? The biggest flaws about the current Triple Triad Systems are the card drops being overly RNG reliant and the NPCs having a bunch of stupid RNG mechanics (random, chaos) paired with the deck lockout. There's nothing hard about the current Triple Triad, there's only RNG and grind, and then some more grind. The FF8 system was so perfect it makes me cringe inside seeing people farm dozens of hours for a single card.

If you think there's anything *hard* in the current Triple Triad system, you're terribly misinformed. Everyone can beat any NPC, it's just a matter of a timeframe when they'll actually get their cards.
