I'm pretty sure Nintendo has to do everything they can at this point to even stay afloat in the gaming industry.
Plus they have perfected how to translate: "We are releasing another Mario game!!" after 20 years of saying it![]()
I don't understand how people can defend SE over this just makes no sense...They have done it before they can do it again easily but they just choose not to.Also some have said "oh fan translation have errors and mistranslations though!" Lets be honest most of the time when people translate its correct but they didn't just go in depth.
If fans can do it a large company like SE can do it. Simple. I would love to see what NA/EU community team has to say on this.

probably, however, nintendo have become exemplar in terms of communication.... here we don't ask for the perfection, we want to be able to understand what is said. or it's pointless to tell us that they do this sort of communication. is like show us Cake and say us don't touch! just look.
all we say is the communication of SE have become bad and need to be adressed. we must get the information faster and more important translated. do it's the fault of the community team? i doubt it, i really think SE don't want to spend cash for this... for them, only japanese community seems to be important. or they will have try to offer a better communication for the rest of the playerbase.
ps: is not a new trouble, we already asked for a better communication, but it seems our concern is not that important for them. but just saying, Yoshida himself have said that the mmorpg industry is a service, when a service don't want to take time to have clear communication with him client.... it's not good.
honestly i don't hope for a live translation, however, i ask as customer, that they deliver us sub version of live letter swiftly after the it. not 1-2 week after. we deserve to be treated equally with the japenese community.

I dont get why people say its too expensive for live translation. Or its just too hard to do. They did it at the fan fests and pax. Whats so hard about having Koji Fox or that women whos name I dont know there to explain in english what is going on? Id rather it take a little longer and I actually know whats being said than it be shorter and not have a clue. The Q&A stuff that gets posted on the forums leaves alot of stuff out and there have even been times where whats posted in the q&a has been wrong and had to be corrected. Or worded so oddly that nobody even understands the meaning.
Guarantee tomorrow the forums will be full of posts about how unclear the answers are in the Q&A and how we still dont know the answers people wanted even though it was covered in japanese during the live letter.
Those are better than nothing, but they do come out rather late lol. Like weeks later. They also ignore rather important things that are stated outside of the questions themselves, such as the last letters 2.51 release date that was revealed at the end of the stream. I mean, granted that it wasn't part of the questions themselves, but that really just comes off as odd that it'd take them that long to either do or get the approval to release Q&A for something already out to the public since it was done live. Assuming they're not being restricted on what they can say for those Q&A posts, which would be extremely odd protocol, I'm going to assume that they're just posting something they're given by a translator elsewhere. Honestly, it'd be a much better approach to provide a translated outcome of everything stated, not just Q&A, if they're going to release something weeks after it's done. Doesn't have to be word for word, since there's a lot of fillers noises (e.g. "umm") but the gist of it is good enough, similar to what they do with the questions themselves.

Live translation would be asking for quite a lot imho, however I'd be willing to wait a week or two if they released live letter broadcasts with subtitles for each region, or barring that, at least get the fully translated posts of the letter up in a more timely fashion, think the last few translations came out after the content being discussed was already out, or just a couple days away.
