I hope the video isn't a sign that they aren't planning on making any visual changes to egis.

Nope they said the Egi's are staying, and it's a real shame. They could have made something really badass, but instead we have egi's. Tbh the Dev team thinks the player base is dumb and can't tell the difference between a human size egi or a enemy, so they decided to dumb down the look.
