My apologies, I should have mentioned that in the 4th Astral era, the barbaric practice of harvesting the earlobes of infant Elezen was outlawed and instead the flakes of dry cured, lightly smoked Perch were substituted. The last known case of anyone actually using an ear-lobe was (as related to me by my great grand mother, who was something of a folk historian) in the late 4th Umbral era. In that case the perpetrator was incarcerated for several years and fed a diet limited to mushrooms and dried slugs. No one in their right mind would suggest that real ear-lobes should ever be used. Certainly no civilized Miq'ote would support such a thing. Nyah!?

Nah it's fine. It's ok to joke about Elezen babies having their ears removed to feed kittens but if I say "shit" than it's crossing a line and destroying the "light-hearted" feel that is associated with cannibalism....
