I used the "it's just a game" rationale until I read the description. Plenty of other games have Shark Fin Soup. But the quote I mentioned above did not sit with me right. It is a completely unnecessary fabrication. It makes you wonder why it is in the description at all. It is also a lie used IRL to justify this shameful practice. If SE is going to use a game for political agenda then I'm going to speak up.

You do realize the item description is used to describe how the sharks are used for foodstuffs *in Eorzea* right? Like, it's a lore thing. And before you try to justify it with that ridiculous notion that "it's not used in any other recipe in game!" It doesn't matter. There's tons of foods in game that Culinarians don't yet know how to make. And on top of that, it's a game. It has nothing to do with any sort of agenda.

It has NOTHING to do with the real world, so please calm down over this because it's unimportant.

If they do away with Sharkfin Soup, can we have Elezen ear-lobe Fricassee instead?

Of course, in order to produce this dish, the ear-lobes of infant Elezen are harvested just after birth (hence the un-natural shape of Elezen ears). They are prepared in the darkest corners of the twelveswood in a process that uses the secretions of a very rare giant slug, a traditional method which dates back to the 3rd Umbral era. After 6 months of drying, the ear lobes are lovingly smoked for 2 weeks to increase their flavor and then dried for a further 3 months. The dessicated lobes are are shaved using a culinary micro-plane to produce the characteristically translucent shards of flesh that give the Fricassee such savory sweetness that it is prized by Miq'ote and Lalafell alike.

Additionally, please remove all combat skills from the game, as it promotes violence and SE should not be sending the message that violence is acceptable in the real world.

To account for the inability to earn any experience or defeat monsters, characters will be granted max level upon character creation, and time in the game world will be speed up so that you may still "defeat" your enemies by having them die of old age.

My apologies, I should have mentioned that in the 4th Astral era, the barbaric practice of harvesting the earlobes of infant Elezen was outlawed and instead the flakes of dry cured, lightly smoked Perch were substituted. The last known case of anyone actually using an ear-lobe was (as related to me by my great grand mother, who was something of a folk historian) in the late 4th Umbral era. In that case the perpetrator was incarcerated for several years and fed a diet limited to mushrooms and dried slugs. No one in their right mind would suggest that real ear-lobes should ever be used. Certainly no civilized Miq'ote would support such a thing. Nyah!?
