Seriously Chocobos and airships are coming in the next big patch, don't you read the news posts?

I recall people having to decline party invites because they could not get someone to teleport them, being as chocobos and airships combined were still an insufficient means of transport.

That wasn't my point, With more ways to travel, Anima will be cut down and everyone will be able to get around.

but alot of people will always want instant travel to everything with no walking time whatsoever, and alot of the really arguementive people for some of the things suggested here are just that

they dont want chocos to run to a dungeon faster, they want to be teleporte to the dungeon for free

thats a big reason why it didnt become a conj only ability too in 14

the same people who want instant free teleporting will still want it cuz chocos will still take time to travel
the same people who want teleports restricted to a single class will still want it cuz chocos wont restrict teleporting either

It's not about simply time, it's about too much time. Just yesterday I had someone decline to come out because of the possibility that they'd spend their anima on getting to us when we might disband soon.

that sounds like someone who wanted a long time group anyway, thats a concern wether its about anima or not

People have a right to get where they need to be in a timely fashion, no matter what the case. I, for one, do not like to run and I'm willing to bet you wouldn't choose to run if you could port either, Foxbat.

people do have the option to get places quicker
but as i said, there has to be a cost, you cant just go everywhere instantly all the time for free without limitation

i understand you dont like to actualy take the time to travel, but as someone who plays an mmo, you MUST realize traveling is part of the game

I asked you this before, and I guess you missed it so I'll ask again: What is it honestly going to hurt if people can teleport as many times as they like, whenever they like? What?-- People say it will take away from the purpose of the terrain, well, isn't that their personal choice to miss out on that? Nobody really complained when 100% of the population camped Ul'dah and Eastern Thanalan since release, as long as they got their 120k SP every 36 hours.

They should just give us repeatable quests like guild tasks or maybe doing something like Behest to "farm" anima.
